Normal HcG levels???

So my dr. says that the blood test came back normal. And he wants to wait for my ultrasound. What does normal mean? Because HcG is not present if not pregnant, right?!!!! Sooo confused!

I had a D&E on March 8, 2007.  I had almost 6 weeks of brown blood come out and on the 6th week I had my af.  I am now at 10 weeks post D&E and still testing postive on a HPT.  I was concerned, so had HCG levels tested this week.  Tuesday was 37 and Thursday was 36.  We have actively be ttc this month and am not sure if I can ovulate with a HCG level of this.   Anyone else out there have HCG levels still saying pregnant 10 weeks after this procedure?

normal probably meant they came back in the range they needed too. He wouldn't even be doing an ultrasound if you have an HCG of 0 because that means your not pregnant and you haven't been for sometime. Even if you miscarry it takes a couple weeks to go back down to 0. It took me six weeks when I did.

antoher question is I will not ovulate if I have not had a period, right? I had heard that an ovulation test may give a positive result if already pregnant. So I used one today and it says I'm ovulating, but have not had a period since march.
