Normal?

by katie430, Oct 07, 2009 02:25PM
Hi, i was just hoping for some reassurance and/or feedback on what is going on with me.  My last period was on September 10 and it has been regular ever since i started when i was 13 (it always starts 5 days earlier then the last one).  So by my calculations i should have started two days ago.  We have had unprotected sex for the past month i would say at least....eighteen times...minimum (sorry, probably tmi).  The past week and a half i have had tender breasts, lower back cramping, light stomach cramping, off and on headaches, fatigue, and nausea. Two days ago my nausea switched from being mainly all morning to now mainly at night before i go to sleep (diarrhea, horrible cramping, etc. sorry tmi again).  I have taken four HPT and all have come back negative.  Is this normal? By my calculations i am 2 days past my missed period and i don't feel like i am about to get it, which is weird.

Take another test, being sure it is a sensitive test and you are using a first morning urine.  Take the test in another few days after your missed period.  If it is negative, wait another few days to a week, and take another.

If it is still negative and you are concerned, contact your doctor and he/she may recommend a blood pregnancy test.

Bear in mind that even if you have never missed or been late for a period before, there is always a first time.  You would be hard pressed to find a single woman who has never, ever been late or missed a period at some point in her entire life.

So--wait, test again, and see your doctor if you continue to be concerned.  good luck!
