Not sleeping

Not sleeping

OK - I am guessing that insomnia is just another great perk of being pregnant?  I can not sleep at all at night.  I am tossing and turning and waking up about every hour.  I am exhausted, but the twins can't get comfortable either.   I know we are supposed to sleep on our left side, but my right side is more comfortable or even my back.  I so have to fall asleep on my stomach but that's not really an option now.  I have a huge baby pillow, but that's not helping either.  Next I guess I'll have to try the chair.  I'm big, but not as big as I'm going to be apparently.  HELP!!!!  I have got to get some sleep before these boys get here!!  :)

Chelly - any suggestions on a comfortable sleeping position with twins?  If anybody should know, you should seeing as your girls have taken up residency in your belly.  How are they going to get their mail?

if it makes you feel any better at all Kelly - I've only got one a bakin in there and its still hard to sleep.  I know you aren't supposed to lay flat on your back due to the baby pressing on arteries I think and the baby supposedly gets less oxygen.  I know its better supposedly to lay on your left side.  I can't sleep on my left side - I'm a tummy sleeper.  Thankfully, we have a pillow top mattress and I can still get comfy on my tummy.  Plus I seem to only be showing from my belly button to my hoo-ha.  weird.  I just keep waking up every hour or so, or have strange dreams that wake me up or just flat out have to pee so bad it hurts.  Let me know if you figure anything out.  Good luck

alright don't laugh, but i use a gabillion pillows. literally. i sleep on either side. doctors tole me as long as it was a side they were fine. on the back the arteries are compressed decreasing blood supply to you and the babies.

i use one pillow between my knees, one under my belly, a long roll under my back, two under my head and one between my ankles. it's the only thing that i can get slightly comfortable in. other than that i am a twitchy mess for hours.

keep your chin up. there is no way your babies will be as stubborn as mine!
