Novocaine

Now I am aware that it has been posted before but I can't find any old forums on it. I'm 30 1/2 weeks and am going to the dentist tomorrow to get a cavity filled. Is novocaine okay to take or will it harm the baby? I think I remember something about it being okay in the 2nd trimester but I can't remember if its okay in the 3rd.

ok, now this i should know!!!  i've had to go to the dentist during the 3rd trimester during 2 of my pregnancies.  novocaine is actually all you can have...

oh God no!!!  i couldn't imagine having dental work done w/ nothing.  i actually had to have a tooth pulled w/ ONLY novocaine...  wasn't fun...  i cried!

Oh god I feel for you! I just kept imagining them drilling with nothing there to dull the pain and was trying to judge whether or not it was worth it. Extreme pain for a little while or annoying dull pain for 2 months.

Novocaine is safe. :) Just no laughing gas.
