OK TRYING TO HELP MY SIS THE BEST I CAN . BUT NOT SURE WHAT TO SAY HELP????

ok so why sister just found out she is pregnant. and she called me crying cause she is not sure who to believe the dad is.. all i can give her is what i think would be the most accurate advise that i know.. but maybe yall can help me a lil better. cause she is torn. but it is no ones fault but her own . ok so here is waht i know. he first day of her last period was july 10.  so what im thinking by looking at charts it shows ovaulation day to be july 25th. ok so here is the problem on the 25th she slept with her bf twice that day. but she slept with an ex bf on july 23. i told her that is very close in dates . and a test would probaly have to decide who the daddy is . but then i read that the most fertile time is to get preggo on ovaultaion day. so im unsure on what to tell her from what i have already told her. can anyone else offer and information that i can possibly give to her to help ease her mind... thanks ladies.

she will have to come clean because sleeping with that other guy on the 23rd sperm can live inside for a few days...making that regardless it could be either one..best of luck to her sounds like a really difficult situation

thats the same thing i told her. but i read that the sperm on the day she ovaulted had a better chance due to the chance of live sperm reaching the egg. but i also did read that the sperm can live up til 48 hours.. so that would be cutting it close.  i know it gonna suck to have the running through her mind but she did it to herself.

sperm can live up to 6 possibly 7 days.. female sperm are slower but yet live longer...male sperms are really fast  but die sooner...they say to have a girl to have sex before ovulation and for a boy after...

i just read that about the girl and boy sperm.. funny you posted that... so could she know by the sex she has.. im sorry but im running out of opitions and agree with you she just needs to be honest with both of them but hse doesnt want to hurt her bf, i sed to her you hurt him when you slept with someone else sweetie. she is very young and doesnt seem to understand . i dont think she is ready to handle all this.

nothing will ever be 100%.. i think she will definately need a paternity test..because if she slept with the ex on the 23rd at 9pm and slept with the bf on the 25th at 9am you see.. even if its an hour or 5 passed the 48 hour mark...nothing is 100% and it is too close...i feel sorry for her but she made her bed...its sad to say but she is better off coming clean.. ending the fooling around or the relationship etc...because it is so close just 2 days difference they cant pinpoint it in an ultrasound...maybe she ovulated on the 27th and if she has a girl it could be either...you never know.. i think she is safe with the paternity.. best of luck....

Michelle,  if both men have normal fertility,  and she in fact DID ovulate on the 15th,  chances are higher the father is the ex.

His spern would have been in the tube waiting,  even before the boyfriend's sperm hit the beach.

Of course that's assuming she did ovulate on the 15th,  and both are fertile.

The dates are so close that the ONLY way to determine paternity is with a DNA test.

i wish i could ttell you . but i have no answers for her. now she saying that if its the ex she dont want it. she dont understand that there is no way to find it out without dna. im sorry she is young and only 17. seh doesnt know what she wants and i dont think she needs this baby at all.. some young ones are muture but she just is not..

Just encourage her to go for adoption no matter what, if she feels that way about the baby possibly being from her ex.  Hopefully she would not really feel that way about a baby, no matter who she slept with to concieve (conceive) it.  
What a tough situation.  :(
