OMG....cramps...open forum

I cant believe the cramps I am having.  I had a D&C on 09/15 and I havent got my period yet.  But these cramps feel like a knife is being jabbed into my uterus.  As silly as it sounds, does this mean AF is finally coming and is this normal?  I've read that some people don't get AF for a few months after a D&C, is that normal?  I want to TTC soon so the sooner she comes the better.  By the way, feel free to use this as an open forum...I didnt have time to browse the archives to find the answer to my question.  Hope everyone is having a good day:)

I didn't have af for almost 12 weeks but befoer I got it I had horrible cramps for about two weeks..  it sucks..   but I can start trying now and an af is actually a new start

i had a misscarriage that ended in a d&c in aug 05. after 12 weeks of pregnancy. i had a lot of cramping with min. bleeding for about 2 to 3 weeks. then i had very light bleeding for another 4 weeks. after that i went 8 weeks before af showed up. but i had a very hard time with the d&c because i was so far into my pregnancy. i hope that all turnes out well for you!!!!

yay...Af came!!!  I am still in an awful amount of pain but I am also sooo excited that I can start TTC.  Thanks so much for your advice.

On June 1 found out that my baby had stopped growing at 8w3d and I was supposed to be 10 weeks and since I wasn't miscarrying on my own they recommended a D & C.I had a D and C on June 4 and after had little bleeding for 3 days. 3 weeks  later ( June 21) started getting period type cramps that lasted a week. Just thought I was getting a/f and bleeding started June 26( 3 weeks  after D and C.) Cramps only got worse(on Friday,Advil didn't work anymore) and by Sunday I was at the E.R after having contraction type pain every 5 mins. I started bleeding heavy and in the morning it was  confirmed that I was miscarrying products of conception (an embryonic sac). They scheduled a second d and c but before surgery, I passed the tissue myself.  It is rare but yes you could be having D&C complications. If anybody else has had this happen I was wondering when you ttc conceive again?
