OPEN FORUM----chemical free products?

Hey Ladies,

Well I have been quite concerned lately about all the chemicals in EVERYTHING that we use on our bodies or put in our mouths.  I have started buying for my daughter the "California Baby" shampoo and conditioner...it's about $10 a bottle but lasts her for a couple months....it is free of chemicals...although it could be probably more free of chemicals as it is only 99.1% pure....I'm still looking for alternatives WITHOUT ANY chemicals....

The shampoo is good for the body as a wash too....and I get the Burt's bee's lotion which is free from chemicals.....BUT always read online about any ingredients.....I guess the more prevention we do to protect out babies the better...we get ENOUGH chemicals in the foods we eat, etc.....so I figure I do what I can to keep her somewhat free of things in my control.....

But, if you know of any organic and 100% chemical free products, I'm open for answers!  I am even concerned now about the aluminums and lead in cosmetics...ugh...it never ends....I am trying to buy these cosmetics for myself and lotions for spouse etc....It is a big concern now as everytime I use something, I KNOW how harmful it really is to our bodies.....I don't know where to turn to get products that won't kill you after  years of use......

If anyone has information on a site that is 100% chemical free, please send it!

I was buying some Avon lipsticks from a girl at work and then looked up the ingredients before and they ALL have aluminums in them and I believe lead too....which yes are cancer causing...I know they say in little bits, it's not harmful, but heck I'm sure they are just selling a product and for years of use, I'm sure that is why we all are not very healthy and live long years....I'm very concerned lately....have to ditch all my cosmetics and shampoos, etc.....

I have already STOPPED using anti-perspirant and only use cornstarch powder....and my body has adjusted and i don't sweat like I did at first and dreaded odor as I have to go to work.

Anyhow, any info?

I have a book called something like THE NATURAL NURSERY which covers all the ingredients and why you would avoid them --that way you kind of have a list of what to read for. We shop mostly at organic markets now--they tend to carry a wide range of (expensive) products, like Burt's Bees. Given how little babies are, they soak up the toxins much worse .

The organic food is quite addictive too (tastes different, much more intense) and you know you are getting no pesticides which are probably much worse for you all than aluminum in your lipstick.  We feel much better but of course it is at least 2x as much $ to eat.
