Hey Buckeye, how are you doing?

Hey everyone, hope you're all having a good one. Boring one for me. I think I will take a trip to the mall to waste some time. I'm tired of cleaning day after day. I have a gift certificate for a craft store, think I will use it today! Treat myself.

I'm still getting lots of Braxton Hicks contractions with a bit of back pain and pressure in my pelvic and bum. Hoping it's getting close. They seem to be getting stronger too. I am getting really excited. I have a feeling it's going to be a quick delivery, I don't know why, I just have a gut feeling. DH works 2 hours from home, I am nervous by the time I realize I actaully in labour if he's working, he may not make it. I'll have to keep a close eye on how I feel before he leaves. Both of the boys decided to start their journey out through the middle of the night, hopefully this one will too.

Kassimom, are you hanging in there? Hope you have a better day today!!!

Hey Christie, if you are dizzy,  you should go get checked. I don't have to tell you that!!!! How is your pressure? Sugar?

Hey all,
Waiting for AF- hoping and praying she doesn't visit....
TTC since our MC the summer, and we're ready to add to our family!
I have been having some preg symptoms this week, but am wondering if it's just my mind playing tricks...
Feel a lot like I did with baby #1..
How's everyone else's babymaking going?
Have a good day!

I'm doing good, thanks for asking.  I had my last blood draw yesterday.  My hcg level went up to 1397 so I'm over 1000 so they stop checking it.  I have my first u/s scheduled for Nov. 18.  I'm just taking it one day at a time.  Hoping for the best with this pregnancy, but prepared for the worst.  I know that sounds bad, but each time I get my hopes up to much, they get knocked down so I'm not going to do that to myself this time.

Glad to hear that everything is going well with you.

HEy all, hopefully someone can give me insight in to what to do this morning!!

I went to bed with a bad ear ache last night, took some tylenol and it helped some. I never in a million years thought I would still have it this morning but I do.

I am sure it's an ear infection, but I hate to take anything this close to delivery. Do you think they will postpone my surgery if I have to go on antibiotics? Or do you think I should suck it up and deal with the ear ache until after he is born? (doubt it will still be around that far ahead anyway...)

Have a great day!!!!

I think they would postpone it only if you were still sick. I know I was on IV antibiotics with DD because I developed a fever. Go get it checked and feel better so you not in misery worse than you already are.

Thanks. I went ahead and called and they got me in this afternoon at 4:30. They said they won't postpone my surgery if I need antibiotics, but I am think I may get it in writing! LOL

OMG my ear hurts so bad!!! I didn't realize adults could get ear infections!! Now I totally have sympathy for babies and kiddos who get one!!

I am glad they could get you in ear infections are no fun. Then again any infection is no fun.

Actually, I thought for a while I might be having a stroke, and would get the night off work.

But, everything straightened up and I had to go to work anyway.  If it happens again I'll check into it, as it was really weird.  I had to sit on my butt to go down the stairs or I would have fallen!

Thanks for worrying!

Maybe you have vertigo. I know it has something to do with your inner ear and can cause severe dizziness.
Blank
Avatar_n_tn
That was actually my second thought, but it went away relatively quickly (2 hours).  Just weird.  Oh well--anything important will happen again!

Counting down the hours til my last night, Nov 10th!

Well I guess your right. I hope your move goes smoothly. I would be counting down too. I know I will be when it is time for my leave lol.

Hello Ladies,

Just wondering if eating chocolate is okay for the baby, we have some Halloween candy left over and i've been eating them like crazy. Also when did you all get your glucose test results? I took mine last week and still haven't heard anything back from the Dr, would that mean that everything was okay?

Hello everyone!  For those who have commented or helped me in any way lately, I say thank you.  I went to my OBGYN today to check for signs of premenopause, and he gave me a clean bill of health!  I am sooooooo excited!  They did an ultrasound and said that my ovaries and uterous looked great and.... I have a very healthy folicle in my left ovary that is about  ovulate.  Doctor says that it looks really good this month!  I am praying and believing God that I will be pregnant in a few short days!!!  Since I am almost 42, there's no time to waste!  LOL  Please continue to remember me in your prayers.  I'll let you know when I get the wonderful news!

Thanks,
Robin Harris

kassimom-
most antibiotics are only taken for 10 days....your section is 15 days out isn't it???  i would have your ear looked at, you don't want to do any permanent damage to your eardrum....trust me a ruptured ear drum is no fun.

christie- you do the south beach diet right?? you might want to have your potasium level checked....my sister started getting dizziness like that while she was on a similar diet and they found out her potassium was very low.  just a thought!

i am coming down with a cold and boy does it suck!!

in my ob office they say that no news is good news....however that doesn't mean they didn't get busy and something didn't get piled ontop of your results...so with that being said i say call and ask, they should for sure have them back by now.

Actually, I do a variation of the South Beach diet, where I am very good for breakfast, and then all hell breaks loose and I eat everything in sight the rest of the day.

I have made an important scientific discovery for those suffering from being very underweight---YOU CAN GAIN A POUND A DAY THIS WAY!

I'm looking into marketing my new diet for people looking to fatten up in a very short period of time...LOL!

What you said makes good sense, though.  I already have very, very low potassium and have had to take supplements most of my life, since childhood.  I'll keep an eye on it, for sure.

hi again,

Sorry to have to post on open forum, but it's full again and I have to ask this. So, my doc gave me a 95% chance of miscarriage. Lowish HCG numbers, no heartbeat at 6 weeks, lightish bleeding and cramping, etc. I went in for an ultrasound today and there was a heartbeat!!!!!???? My cervix is closed tight and she said the bleeding was red but not clotty. My hcg had only risen from 4600 to 7580 in four or five days...but I am so confused that it went UP???  She said that technically it still didn't look good, obviously, but that she had encountered much starnger things. Isn't it odd that there was a heartbeat? She also said there had been "some" growth and that the sac was right in line with the size of the embryo. But all that does not explain away the low HCG and the bleeding. If this pregnancy is going to end, I don't want it hanging on by a thread for a few weeks and THEN me losing it. That would be so much harder. That's why I was prepared and calm about seeing the ultrasound today...i KNEW there wouldn't be heartbeat. Any thoughts? I am going out fo my mind. She said one solution is am I earlier than I thought i was? But I am pretty sure I am not. I kept really good track.

ROFLMAO!!!!!   oh my gosh you crack me up!

I'll tell my mom that version of the diet, since her doctor harps her all the time to gain weight.....

well hun unfortunately you are going to have to wait and see if this little guy is going to fight it out or give up....there is a great chance that you ovulated later than you think you did...

there is a girl that goes to my ob that has been having bleeding pretty much her entire pg....spotting and what not....she is far enough along to tell what the baby is on an u/s pic...so don't give up on that baby until it's ready to give up. i know that is hard....REAL HARD to do but hang in there.

I think that you might have just ovulated later than you thought, the persentage of a MC goes down some when you see a hearbeat. I personally don't think that your Dr should have given you any % rate of MC, he/she should have just waited until another US was done before saying anything at all. GOD WORKS IN MISTEROUS WAYS, i've always believed that about him. I'll keep you in my prayers, that this pregnancy will stick.

Well i called the Dr office to see what my results were for my glucose test, they still haven't received them yet for some reason. I would have thought that they would have gotten them by now, i mean come on it's been a week already. If I don't hear anything from her this week, i won't worry to much i go see her next week for my 28 week check up.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I unfortunately had a similar experience that ended in MC, although I never had a heartbeat seen. Seeing the heartbeat is a good sign! Please don't let your Dr bully you into thinking that the pregnancy is doomed. Although you can do absolutely nothing about it, the decision should rest in your hands. I chose to let the pregnancy take its course, and it terminated at about 11 weeks (I started to mc at 6). I know this sounds like a horribly long time to wait, but you really need to assure yourself that things are unfolding as they should. You can't control the outcome, but you can control your approach.
I wish I could offer concrete words of comfort. Life is funny like this sometimes, giving us something to hope for, and then taking it back. I truly hope that your levels continue to rocket up there, and that you have a healthy baby. However, if this is destined to be a mc, remember that you did NOTHING wrong, and that it unfolded as it should.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Carolyn... I am so sorry for your situation..  I for one would not give up!  You saw a heartbeat!  To me, that's the most positive sign.  God is a big God and able to turn things around.  Don't make any hasty decisions..things may well turn out good!  I will keep you in my prayers.  Keep us posted..
