hubby is playing in a poker tournament today so I am all by my lonesome :(

Oh well, time for me to get some scrapbooking done!

DD starts school on Wednesday!! I am half excited half sad! I am going to help the PTO get Kindergartners to their class.....uh-oh....not sure what I signed up for there! LOL

Your daughter starts early! do they all start that early down there? My MIL is upstate NY and she's in disbelief that my kids start 8/16!

Yes, most of the school's around me start 8/11, but some are starting on 8/16 too and 8/18 too.

When does school start in NY?

Where my MIL lives they start AFTER labor day! I can't even imagine.  They don't get out until the last week of June though.  My kids were out the last week in May so it was kind of nice.  The middle of August did creep up on me really fast though! The school supply list this year was crazy as well! LOL!

I know exactly what you mean. What the heck is a "story/illustration book" ???? I can't wait till Tuesday for Meet the Teacher so I can ask her!!!

School here starts friday of labor day weekend, how dumb! they get one day of school then a weekend off LOL. They get out the end of June, depending on snow days.

I KNOW it! I was buying EIGHT Dry erase board ERASERS and TWO reams of white copy paper for each class??? What the heck is that about? The lady there asked if I was buying for the whole school or just the whole fourth grade...LOL! and you have to buy story books for classes now too? Gosh when I was a kid we just had to get clothes lol.  
Jana I kinda wish my kids didn't start till Sept but i'd still like to be done in May LOL! =) Hope you both are feelin great! =)
