Well, I'm on the 2WW so to speak. I have to go to the DR. Tues. to see if I am going to produce an egg this month, but there is the chance that I could ovualte before I go in. I sure hope we get pregnant this month. This waiting and haveing to deal with cysts is killing me. Hopefully we'll have a good month a get some good news for a change! Good luck to all those trying or who may be and not know it yet!!! :}

Do you know if progesterone supplements can delay AF? My RE said they can but they never did before.   I am currently using them and I am late. My cycles have never ever been over 26 days, usually under and today is cd27.   My BBT also seems to be on the rise too 98.8 today.  I tested too early cd24 and got a BFN and now I am just to scared to death to test. Prayers to everyone.

I haven't seen momttc in a while either, but last I heard she was very excited about painting her cabin and was very glad that it was getting her mind off of ttc.  Maybe she's just taking a break from us for a while and trying to concentrate on other things...

Steph:  We are DYING!!  Did you test???

CMN:  Any sign of AF?? Did you re-test?

I'm on my 2ww...........B-O-R-I-N-G!!  I'm due for AF on Valentines Day, and my body has been like clockwork, so it'll either be a really really happy V-Day or a really depressing one...  How fun, I can barely contain my excitement.  Ahhh, we shall see how well those eggwhites & PreSeed worked.

HI GIRLS :)))))  Just wanted to check in!  I have been gone to Colorado and got home last night.  I got way to busy before I left to post...

I am on cycle day 42 and no AF???  I took a test yesterday morning and got BFN so I am not sure what is going on ??  I am guessing that since i didn't ovulate I am not having a period and will have to have it induced in order to begin the clomid.  I was hoping I was pregnant and that's why it's not showing up... but yesterday was day 16 from what could have been a late ovulation.  The doctor will have me come in toward the end of the week for a pregnancy test, but since hubby and I have not BD since cd 22 I don't see how I could have gotten pregnant.  I was hoping that AF would start but still nothing.

And believe it or not, I am back to wanting to take a break, hahah  My son started walking this weekend!!!!!  And he is a handful.  I am thinking the more self sufficient he gets will just be that much easier on ME, hahah...  This kid NEVER sits still!!!  So I don't know?  The only reason I was anxious to try again, was because of the higher dose of clomid (we might actually have a shot this time on 150mg?).  And if we waited then they would have to start me back down at 50 which could mean a couple months of disappointment before BFP?

I sure loved my march baby!!!!  I can't imagine having a newborn in the winter...

Well have a great day girls.  I kinda read a little but WOW, there's a lot going on, babies, ovulation, AF, it's hard to keep up :)

Speaking of long time no talk to Where's Christina????

Hi ladies,

Wondering if anyone can identify.  I am 36 weeks pg today and the past couple days, I have been having this mild headache on and off.  Not sure if I'm fighting off the flu or what.  After I sleep, when I get out of bed to pee or whatever, my whole body feels sore.  I have been trying to stay on my left side with a pillow between my legs.  Is this normal?

by Chrisy, Feb 04, 2004 12:00AM
OMG I Ovulated!!!! I was using the toilet last night and when I wiped I noticed a stretchy thick-like snot(sorry TMI). Im on this Forum since September and all you were going on about EWCM, could not understand what you were talking about, but I finally saw it fo myself - thanks girls. This Forum is like a schol of some sorts - we do learn!!

I also had a dilema, because dh and I had an unresolved matter, I didnt think that I would bd, much less ttc this month, but you know what - we did last night and this morning!! I decided that I would apologise, especialy because it had gone on too long and made me miserable and of course he was only too happy to apologise too - because he missed the closeness - LOL.

Anyway, I even tried that suggestion that Chloe (standing on my head but I did right after we finished. Of course he asked me what I was doing, I didnt really want him to know, because he may have laughed at me, so I played it down a bit. So with my head dangling off the bed, my dh was lovingly playing with the rest of my body on the bed. Also tried bd from behind and afterwards lying on by belly (Im not sure who suggested that one)!

I tell yiou girls, making up is the best - I got the Royal treatment last night!!

So after having done all that with more to come, when would the 2ww start? Ive used the conceptionstore ovulator, so lets see what happens.

God bless
Chrisy

PLEASE HELP! As I am fairly new to this site, can someone please explain EWCM to me. Does it mean you are ovulating? Does it increase the chance of conception? What if it happens on cd9&10 accomanied by sore breats and extreme pelvic pain? My cycle went haywire last month (only 21 day cycle). If I did ov around Jan 27th, my 2ww would be up Feb 9th, yes?

Hi there,
I am sorry that your AF started!  I know you said you're going into month 3 of TTC - is this your first baby or do you have other kids?  It's our 2nd month of trying and 3rd month of not using any BC.  It sure does SUCK, doesn't it?!?!
I hope things are getting better between you and your DH!  Hopefully you'll get everything resolved by Valentines Day and you can have a very romantic weekend and a nice start to your TTC road.  :-)

Hee hee, nice screen name...  :-)

EWCM is Egg-White Cervical Mucus.  It's the mucus that your body produces at ovulation time.  Well...in theory your body is suppose to produce it.  Mine body has betrayed me and I never have any.  They say that in your 20's a woman usually has 3-5 days of EWCM and the last day that you have that kind of mucus is suppose to be the day you ovulate.  The EWCM is very stretchy, just like snot or like egg whites would - hence the name.  It's the kind of mucus that is very sperm friendly and helps them to easily swim through your cervix.

If you have extremem pelvic pain I don't know what that is, but I don't think it's good.  You might have a yeast infection and your urine is making the yeast infection sting - if I get that it feels like a urinary tract infectiion because it feels like my bladder is on fire, but all I have to do is douche with plain water and it clears right up.

If you had a 21-day cycle then it's probably accurate that you'd see EWCM on day 9 or 10.  You'd be ovulating at that time.  Not sure about breast soreness - I don't get that at O time, but I'm sure that some women might.

As far as the 2ww thing - it would be best calculated using the first day of your last period rather than using the day you ovulated...  So if you started your period on 1/13/03, ovulated 14 days later on 1/27/04, then your period would be due 14 days later on 2/10/04.  If you have a 28-day cycle this calc would apply...if you have a shorter cycle and your AF comes within a week after ovulation then I would see your doc because that would not give the egg enough time to travel down and implant properly.  You would need help with lengthing this phase which is called your luteal phase (which is defined as: the time the menstrual cycle spans the time between ovulation and the onset of the next menses)

by IWantToBeAMom, Feb 04, 2004 12:00AM
To: Hope2B
I found this little blurb online:
"The luteal phase of your cycle is the number of days between ovulation and the last day of your cycle inclusive. This is usually between 12 and 16 days. The luteal phase should be at least 10 days for a fertilized egg to be able to implant."

So if AF comes before that critical 10 days have passed, you should ask your doc for help.  I am pretty sure it's fairly easy to lengthen this phase.

by StephW, Feb 04, 2004 12:00AM
Okay I tested this morning...well I peed my "first morning urine" in a container and gave it to my clinic.  But they don't give you results until next day. SOOO, I'll find out tomorrow A.m.  I'm so nervous to find out the results.  Hope its not upsetting.

This a.m. I kinda felt AF coming.  But these cramps are alittle different then 'normal' pms cramps-- they come and go.  With my AF when cramps start they don't stop until I get AF...so this can be a promising sign.  Then again, I'm not experiecning much pregnancy symptoms which worrys me.  IF I do get BFP, does this mean I had a 'bad conception' and possible miscarriage on the way cuz I don't have signs yet (sore breasts and fatigue)?????

Nah, this isnt my first, but will be my last. I want one more baby and that is all, my dh will get a visectomy and thats it.
I have a son from a prev relationship who is 6 and a 15 month old from my dh and we want one more together.
I have mild endo and I have had 2 miscarriage and d&c's so I have problems keeping my pregnancies, and I was told I don't ovulate regularly after I had my son.
Anyways..thanks for asking.
Whats your story?

by IsabellaB, Feb 04, 2004 12:00AM
Hi there,
I'm 26 yrs old and have just been informed that I have hcg rates that aren't rising adequately and that a miscarriage is inevitable. A week ago (at 5 weeks) I measured 80, then three days later 100, then four days after that only 106.

This is my second one--a year ago we learned about the fetal death when we went in for our first sonogram and there was no heartbeat. Apparently the fetus had died a week before (at around six weeks), but my body just hadn't yet aborted it. We made an appointment for a D&C, but the next day it happened naturally.

Now I'm having no miscarriage symptoms at all, but just waiting for something to happen. Thankfully I have a fabulous doctor who has me in her office three times this week for various tests to try to determine why in the world this is happening. Not only am I young and healthy, but I have a very happy, healthy seven-yr-old son to prove I really can carry this off!

Anyway--I can't seem to find much info out there about this situation (could be a missed abortion, but last time it did happen finally...). I have a great doc and will be in to see her this afternoon. But any leads for more info online?

Thanks, and good luck to everyone.

Sorry to have to post here, but I was wondering if someone could give me info on the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor.

Has anyone here ever used it?  Were you successful with it after ttc without help?  I just don't know if I should spend the money.

by Sadler 24, Feb 04, 2004 12:00AM

what are the odds of getting pregnant from pre-***?
thanks in advance for your advice!!!

by Still_AndiJ, Feb 04, 2004 12:00AM
To: Marianne
I asked my OB about the use of fertility monitors after my last m/c and she actually suggested the Clear Blue monitor by name. Of course I was broke so figured i would wait a month and buy one, but instead wound up getting the digital pg tests : ) I figure if my OB was recommending the clear blue monotir, it must be worth it. She mentioned it measures more than just the LH surge, and therefor would be more effective than the ones that only measure the LH surge.

PS
I saw that eBay had some pretty cheap back then, I am sure they still do!!

Good luck!!

That's great that you have two healthy happy kids!  I'm very glad to hear that.  I don't have any kids and I don't have much of a story...married almost 6 mo. now, 24 years old, never been PG before.  While I was researching online about how to increase our chances and I read that I am missing a very important ingredient - EWCM.  So, I was doing more research about that and found this website.  Now I'm hooked.  Everyone on here is very very nice and extremely encouranging.  I just love it here.  I'm really really scared that we can't ever have kids so it's nice to come on here and read everyone's pick-me-ups when I'm feeling upset.

Marianne:
I've never used ClearBlue Easy.  I tried using Answer Ovulation Kit this month.  It seemed to work but I got my "equally dark line" about a week before I was expecting it so I'm not sure how well it worked.  I am not due for AF until 2/14 so I have a while before I can test.

Hi there,
I found this online

"Sometimes guys offer to "pull out" to prevent pregnancy. Studies show that of 100 women that try this method, 19 will get pregnant within the year."

So that's basically only 1-2 women per month out of 100 women.  Not very high chances, but not unheard of either.

To: chey101

Hi,
after having a m/c at week 7, we waited for a month. After that we bought clearblue ovulation predictor. It was for $17-18 for 7 sticks. I came to know when I am going to ovulate(we were having intercourse every other day though). Did on the day I ovulated & now I am 5.3 weeks pregnant. Doc says 'everything looks fine this time'. Hope this is it for me.
Good luck everyone,

Thanks for the advice.  I need to do something because the sticks never show me ovulating though a blood test has shown that I do.  My cycles are never 28 days so I need something more accurate.

I already have some bids on the monitor on ebay.  Keep your fingers crossed that I can get one.  I am also due to AF 2/09 so we will see what happens (if 28 day cycle HAHA!)

my friend has gotten preg 3 times by "pulling-out". ( can only assume pre-***).

I guess it's just all about the TWO people. If he is particularly fertile (and I read somewhere that if it has been awhile he is particularly fertile) and if you are fertile then pre-*** can absolutely get you preggers.

It feels so bad to hear that someone going through what we had.
I am so sorry ! Mine at 6 weeks were 150,160,260,190,90 & finally 3. I had a natural miscarriage in 7 weeks.
But don't worry. Doc said to wait for 2-3 cycles but we waited for only one. Next month here I am pregnant again. 5.3 weeks, so far so good. But I am on progesterone suppliment though. I was so happy to know that my hcg this time at 5 weeks is 3151.
I can see you there. Don't worry, If I can have it, you too can.

by Kassimom, Feb 04, 2004 12:00AM
YAY! Doc called and my HCG was finally at 0. Yes I know not something we would normally be happy about, but hey, I wanna TTC again ASAP. And as long as those durn hcg's weren't going down that was two more days delay in ovulating again.

My dr did ask me to wait 3 cycles and I think I am going to take his advice. This m/c was unexplainable but if I get pg within that 3 months it would be like a slap in the face of "I told you so".  I would just rather not have that guilt. Not only that, but if I did have another m/c then all I really did was put myself out ANOTHER few months from my baby dreams!

Well, I'm pretty sure I ovulated then. My last menses started Jan 19th and the pelvic pain was same as I always get during ovulation only much stronger and on both sides, but I'm sure I do not have yeast infection or UTI because it was not at all simular kind of discomfort and went away after a couple days. Also, my breasts always get sore around ovulation time and last at least 2 weeks.

I'm about at the 10 day mark (after ovulation) now. I see my primary tomorrow - think it would it be too soon to do blood test for pregnancy?

sorry I posted in a wrong place,
I am 5.3 weeks pregnant. In nov I had a natural miscarriage in 7 weeks. My hcg & progesterone levels did not rise. Now my levels are hcg 3151 & progesterone 15.8. From yesterday I am on progesterone suppliment(200mg tablets). My question is I had severe breast pain last week.It is not there now. I can feel the pain only when I press teh breats. Last time I had nausea, tiredness etc, but nothing this time. I understand every pregnancy is different, but why I don't have breast pain like last week? I have read that disappereance of pregnacy symptoms is symptom of miscarriage, so I am really really worried. Is there anyone with this problem & had a normal pregnancy?
someone please reply soon...

Hi stephw,
I have 2 frineds who had no symptoms till their test came out +ve. It is completely normal not to have any symptoms in the beginning. but it is not true for me though. For the first pregnancy(which ended in a m/c)at 4 weeks I had nausea, tiredness, breast pain etc. so was sure that I was pregnant before I took the test. But for the 2nd nothing except a severe breast pain in 4ht week. For many women this a PMS but I never have any PMS, so 2nd time also I was sure I am pregnant.
So don't worry everyone & every pregnancy is different. YOu might not have any symptoms but still could be pregnant.
good luck,

I was wondering if anyone has O'd right after AF before, I mean on cycle day 7 or 8, this is when I had lots of cm, it was clear, really slippery and stretchy (not too stretchy). I remember that we did babydance right about that time too. Maybe, just maybe!

So, how are you today? Have you been talking to Chloe, she hasn't been around, this worries me.

It is possible to ovulate at 7th or 8th day after AF I guess. If the menstrual cycle is like 23-25 days. This what the ovulation predictor kit(clearblue) I bought said.
