good morning ladies,  kassimom i hope you are taking easy...feet up, eating bon bons haha :)

well my friend had her baby at about 3:30pm and i was the best guess on the babies size. i guessed 7lbs 12oz and she was 7lbs 13oz, only off by 1 oz.
she is a little cutie and my friends son is so cute he wanted to hold his new sister and so after dad changed her he sat on the bed and mommy helped him hold her. another friend of ours was going to leave so they gave her back to her for a minute, so he quickly went over to dads chair and waited patiently with his arms out infront of him like he was waiting for a bundle of wood. it was so cute.  anyway they named her sierra nichole and what a cutie she is.
well talk to ya'll later

hi i didn't want to open a new thread, but dh and i went for scan on monday, midwife did my blood pressure which was slightly up, due to the fact that i was anxious about scan i think.  anyway, the consultant we are under scanned us and we got to see our baby kicking and moving, he/she is 82mm long now and the consultant spent about 15 minutes having a good look to see if everything was as it should be, there were a couple of times when it looked like the baby was looking right at us, and waving at us!!  I am so happy to have finally left the hospital fourth time round with happy news, all the bad memories of the babies we have lost have really faded, and i feel like i can look at baby things now without wondering if i will ever get there.
we have a detailed scan in 2 weeks, where we get to listen to the heartbeat, so i will let you know how fast, as i don't want to know the sex out right but i would like a clue as to what it might be.
i am currently 13 weeks along and still being sick, can someone tell me if i can expect it to settle soon??

I'm so glad the baby is doing well......

As for the morning sickness......for some it eases as they enter their second trimester........for some it is later.......and for others they are sick for their entire pregnancies.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
My doctor told me I SHOULD start feeling better at the 12 week mark and sure enough I did.

Hey you! When does your little guy start school? Mine start on 8/16.  I'm kinda overwhelmed as they have uniforms this year and trying to find stuff has been crazy! Good luck w/ your OPK! =) Thinking of you! =) Kellie

oh man did you just bring back a memory...haha talk about not winning mom and aunt of the year...

my best friend moved to texas the summer before her daughter started 1st grade, well up here in hickville WA we don't start school until labor day (first full week of september) little did we know that some of this country still goes on the old farming schedual, well her daughter stayed here until they got the house all settled and their stuff arrived and what not so i said oh well i'll bring her down with me in august, i made a flight plan for us to arrive august 17 (a friday) guess what...school started on the 15th. we felt like such idiots, never even crossed our minds that they might start school that early. oh well, we laugh about it now.

Okay all you preggos! STAY HYDRATED AND GET LOTS OF REST!! Even when you THINK you aren't thirsty and can run that marathon (shopping or whatever) YOU CAN'T and SHOULDN'T!!!!

I think that was my problem Sunday night. While I wasn't active Sunday, I just didn't drink much either. And Thursday I went shopping (spent TOO long on my feet) and then Friday I cleaned the WHOLE house. I think the combination of those things is what brought on the contractions.

I have had no more since I have been laying down, so I thought I would take DD to school, get a few groceries (DH tried but I had to return a few items he got), and pick up a little gift for a neighbor's b-day. Just got home and DH had a hissy fit.  So back to bed I go....I guess.

Great thing is I have had no contractions, no cramps and none of the suspicious back pain anymore. Woo hoo!!

Oh, and yesterday I got so bored I pulled out DH's laptop and got on ebay. I got the baby 5 outfits for next year, me a few nursing bra's and some maternity clothes. I think DH wants me off bed rest soon as much as I do!! LOL Dr's appt tomorrow!! RELEASE ME!!!!!

That's too funny! I know, this starting school WAY TOO EARLY in my opinion is just strange.  It's kind of nice because my boys are SO READY to not be home all day anymore! They are "done" with summer I think.  =) Who would have thought? Just got my last two school supplies FINALLY! so we are ready except for lunch stuff...always a challenge! =)

Well here in Chicago, school has always started the day after Labor Day except for one year AND and one year only.  The mayor decided that he would start school the last Tuesday in August and it was total MISTAKE!!  I think the attendance for the first day was at 30% or some amazing number like this.  My son was the only one in school that year and he said there was only 5 kids in his classroom until the day after Labor Day!!

Wow! My friend isn't taking her kids back the first week and my cousin in law isn't either.  My kids heard them tell me that and they begged but they are starting 6th and 4th grade so I don't think it's a good idea =(( The other thing is I have to drive them 30 minutes each way to school every day so i'm kinda dreading the drive LOL! =)

once in a while we start school before labor day but it is usually when the 1st falls on like tuesday.
and come to think of it i do remember 1 time and like you said only 1 time we started on the last day of august...man that sucked...they were trying to plan ahead for snow days, it was predicted to be a very cold winter.

My daughter is the only in grammer school right now becuase my son is entering College. (I have a son 18, daughter 9 and youngest daughter 3)  Anyway, the school she goes to in only 2 blocks away so I can't even fathom having to drive 30 minutes there and back!!!  Much credit to you because I would probably be the biggest push over for taking days off because I absolutely HATE to drive. :)

With the public school system here, the children get 1 week Spring Break, 2 weeks (give or take) for Christmas break, they start the Tuesday after Labor Day and go until the 3rd week in June.  Luckily our Park District conincides their summer programs with the Public School system so that the summer program starts the Monday after school is out and runs 6 weeks thereafter.

hello ladies, how is everyone's day going so far? I have a question to ask if anyone can answer. I woke up this morning and went to have a shower, as i was washing under my right arm pit a noticed a lump there. Has anyone ever had this before? i'm kinda conserned and don't know if i should go to the ER after work, i would go to the Dr office but they are closed by the time i get off. Any suggestions?

I just had that happen last month. It scared me to death. It ended up only being a blocked sweat gland that was fixed by antibiotics. I would call your doc when they reopen and tell them about it and see what they want you to do since you are preg. Good luck!

Thanks for the info, i might just call overthere and see what they say. If they want me to go to the ER i will, if not i'll just have to wait until Saturday to get in.

I think I am gonna cry. DD had to go have more blood work done yesterday cause she had another fever. Her white blood count is low and her SED rate was high again 17. They did a test called and ANA and it was like 320 and speckled, so I have to take her to a Rheumatologist (sp). Oh man now I don't know if I want another baby to pass this on to.
