Ok girls...I have posted quite a bit in the last week as my dilemna grows.. please forgive me.  I am on day 12 or 14 post "O", there is a slight question of when due to my temps were up and down twice...safe to say at least 12 days when i am consistently a 10 dayer.  I have taken three pregnancy tests and all of them negative.  I have no signs of pregnancy and no symptoms of getting my period either!!!!  Any suggestions...well, besides wait it out....that is just inevitable i guess...help???

If your temps are still up at 18 DPO, then assume you are pregnant.  Of course, you will want to take a HPT to be sure, but the 18 day rule is pretty solid.  I guess, I'm really just telling you to wait, huh? Sorry, but that's the best advice I can give.

Eeeeek!!! I am so nervous...I dont wanta get my hopes up...Either way I keep praying for something to happen just to end this feeling of not knowing...I still have pain in my one ovary and I usually only get that during "O"....but my temp is still holding strong...Either AF or BFP, I just pray for healthy news is all...Thanks!!

Can someone explain how to take Clomid? What cycle day and how do you know when to BD? Because my cycles are averaging 36 days my doc feels that this would do the trick to bring ovulation on sooner.

Do you think this pregnancy is doomed?

I had some pink spotting 14 dpo No cramping.
18 dpo HCG-75 Progesterone-16.2
20 dpo HCG-91 Progesterone-11.1

I've been on 200 mg Progesterone suppositories since 2 dpo.

I have had 3 sucessful pregnancies with Progesterone suppositories, and 1 miscarriage with oral Progesterone.

Should I just prepare myself to miscarry again?

just wanted to let everyone know on behalf of my friend Jas02. She posted a "iam i preggo" ? on the 11/10/05. you may scroll down to see. Well her storie is she took a HPT two tuesdays ago and it was a very faint positive. She went to the doc on the 11/12/05 for a blood test which came out neg, i think she posted that too, however she was still having her signs that she was preggo, that same day of her blood test she started to spot brown stringy blood and assumed because since it was neg it was her period; however she wanted to make crystal clear sure and went to see that doc last tuesday and he informed her she had miscarried at 5 weeks, the baby was dead in her for about a week, which was the reasoning for her faint pos and neg blood test, am glad she made sure and doubled checked as we would have never known she miscarried and would have thought that was her period.

Good luck to you ttc, she wanted me to share this with you all!!!

Hi there. I have read that the average hcg 18 dpo is 292 but can range from 70-768 miu/ml. so for 18 dpo you're on the low side but you're below for the 20 dpo. Can it be that your dates are off? Did you have your blood drawn exactly 48 hrs apart because of you did your first blood in the afternoon and the 2nd in the morning you may get an inaccurate result? Don't give up hope quite yet. There could be several factors contributing to your levels. To me, hcg is a good indicator but can't be the be all and end all as my hcg was excellent and continued to double even after my baby's heart stopped beating and others have posted poor hcg levels that are slow to rise and end up carrying to term and having healthy babies. Best of luck.

I started w/terrible nausea and vomiting at week 5, but it's primarily after around 12 noon. Evenings are horrible! I even ended up in urgent care w/dehydration since I couldn't keep anything down (even fluids) for days. I tried ginger, seasick bracelets, crackers, club soda, all of it. The only thing that works for me is to eat what I crave. That's what tends to stay down. I've just 'had to have' mounds of Olive Garden salad, a local restaurant's garden burger, ice cream, etc. This is hard b/c my non-pregnant me is very health conscience,so I tend to eat a really balanced vegetarian diet. Fluids are still the hardest to stay down, so I eat fruit when I can. It's one thing to get this morning sickness, it's another to get no relief! My MD gave me Zofran ($$$) to try, which helped w/the actual vomiting, but not the nausea. I'm counting on it ending at week 12!!

Hello Everyone!  Good news...I am pg!  I found out yesterday and then tested again this morning to be sure and I am!  I called the doctor and made an appointment for this week.  I am so excited.  This is my first and I hope everything goes well.  I haven't told my fiance yet because he is out of town and I don't want to tell him over the phone.  He isn't coming back until Saturday and it is driving me crazy.  I have been sooooo tired especially today.  Anyone have any advice on morning sickness?  Is there anything you can do or take to make it better?  It hit me hard today and with working and all the running I do I am feeling horrible.  Sure takes the energy out of you.

Yeah, my opinion on morning sickness is that it sucks!  Only 50% of women experience it and only a handful experience the vomiting part.  Mostly just nauseous, that's what I've experienced for the past 3 weeks.  Now that you know you're preg, you need to slow down.  Your body is about to go through some radical changes and the worst thing you can do is over-exhaust it.  Eat small meals throughout the day, bring crackers to munch on, and try to rest as much as possible.  Mine's starting to go away and I'm 9 weeks, so I'm one of the lucky ones.  I've heard they can last anywhere from your 16th week all the way up to labor.

Now I've got a question about heartburn.  I have acid reflux disease.  I've had it all my life, but never taken medication for it.  During my pregnancy, my heartburn has skyrocketed.  The doctor has prescribed Nexium, but I'm scared to take anything during this time.  He said heartburn medication doesn't affect the baby, but the pharmacist said Nexium is new to the market and not much testing has been done on it yet to determine the effect on pregnant mothers.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Does Pepcid AC hurt the baby either?

Oh yeah, and I've also read anything with ginger in it helps with morning sickess, like ginger ale.  It helped me too.  Just an after thought though.

As far as morning sickness goes, the small meals throught the day is the only trick that worked for me.  I was very very sick with my first pregnancy -- not just the first trimester either.  I was finally able to get through it by eating very small meals all day long.  Be sure to get lots of rest, and drink lots of water.  I wound up at the ER 2 times due to excessive vomiting that led to dehydration.  It turned out I had Hyperemesis gravidarum.  I was told if I could not hold anything down, they would have to hospitalize me.  Luckily I was able to control it between the perscription they gave me and small meals.  I only took the nausea medicine for 2 days because I did not want it to harm my baby.  After that I just ate really small meals, and it did the trick.  I have a son who will be 3 the day after thanksgiving now, so you will get through it I promise.

I have also found that small meals helps my hearburn and acid reflux.  However, the doctor also gave me a list of safe medicines to take that are over the counter.  I don't have the list handy at the moment, but Tums, Rolaids and Zantac were on the list.  Zantac has always worked for me.  You can get a perscription strength, but the over the counter kinds works fine for me.

Best luck to you both.

Take care,

Amanda

Question, I had a m/c on the first. As of today, I just noticed a few small stains on my panty liner and when I wipe its this  faint light brown color on the tissue. I was wondering..is this the end result of old blood and how long will it continue..or is this something else?  thanks!

I'm sure of my dates. I can't be any earlier. I really feel like this problem and my miscarriage were caused by my low Progesterone. I just wish that I could understand why the suppositories are not working this time.

I'm waiting for my doctor to call. We will see what she thinks is going on. I wonder if I should try Progesterone shots next time.

Good luck! I was sick throughout the whole pregnancy with Tristan and believe me I know about Zofran! Yikes, but it was the only thing that worked for me. Seriously look into Boost or Ensure (they now have an expectant mom formula)they were a lifesaver for me.

I know this may be TMI, but it was so bad that I would actually drink grape juice after eating, so if I threw up it wouldn't taste as bad! Of course now I can't even look at grape juice, but it did help a little.

I get heartburn a lot too, I eat tums by the handful!! It seems to help plus I know I am getting more calcium.

They say when you have heartburn, the baby will have a full head of hair.  My first son had a full head of black hair and I had the most excruciating heart burn the first three months!  This one I have been experiencing it more in the second trimester and not quite as bad but lasts longer.  I have also found that I get heartburn after I eat chocolate :( or a large meal.  So yes smaller meals will help!

Good luck!

Yeah, I read that about the full head of hair.  Man, I hope the baby has a full head, cause my dad has a big bald spot and I just know that's what going to happen to him later on in life (if it's a him).  I read online that Nexium and Pepcid AC is alright to take during pregnancy.  So, I'll probably start pretty soon on the Nexium, (probably not until I get paid, that stuff is $$$).

I go in for second attempt on u/s today at 3pm, hopefully they'll find the baby.  If not, we're going to the hospital for a vaginal u/s.  Darn it, we're going to see something today if it kills me, I won't see that look on my DH's face again like last time, it breaks my heart.

Yet another myth I busted, lol. I had wicked heartburn with both boys, enough to require rx meds (rx tagament is great!) and both of my boys were bald blonde boys! Yet my best friend has 2 kids born with a ton of hair and no complaints with heartburn the entire pregnancy.

Man, the world is full of goofy wives tales. It is kind of funny to research them, some are so off the wall!!
