Good Morning Ladies.  Hope the evening found everyone well!!  Other than a mild back ache I feel great, may have to look into buying a new mattress for our bed though.  Have my first 3D u/s on wednesday, can't wait.  Anyone else have one of those?

Do you have to pay outright for that??? Or does your doc just do it???
I would love to have one done but I know the military hospitals don't have that kind of equipment.

I wanted one of those so badly, but my hospital only does them if they think something is really wrong or if you are part of a certain study.  My friend had several done ( she just had triplets) and they are amazing!  Her last couple look just like a photograph.  You're gonna love it.

I had a 3D u/s done at 18 weeks.  They did the regular one, but as a 'treat' they gave me the 3D one.  And it was covered by AB Health, so I dind't have to pay extra.  It was really cool.  I could see the baby lying up against the placenta.  Baby had her hands in front of her face though, so we couldn't get a good shot of her face, she kept looking like E.T..  We ended up going with the regular u/s picture to take home because it gave a nice profile of the whole body.  The 3D is just super-cool to loook at.  Have fun!

It doesn't cost anything!!  There is no special reason for doing it - no medical concerns.  We have a new clinic here just for those kinds of u's, they told us to bring a VHS tape so they could tape it for us if we wanted.  I heard they look pretty cool but don't know anyone who has had one.

I had a 3-D u/s right before my first delivery, they are amazing we could see my sons face it was almost like looking at a black and white pic of him. Good luck at your u/s.

Well it might be different in the States In Canada we are VERY lucky so we get u/s quite often.
Since I was high risk this last time(aka ..old lady having a baby..lol..) I was able to see every 2 weeks.
SO neat!!

I had 2  3D u/s done.  I paid for them of course since they were for enterrainment purposes !  I have pics if anyone wants to see.
First one was done at 19 weeks and then at 30 weeks.  Now I get to see the real thing in 11 days !  I am going to recheck my bags soon, make sure I'm not forgetting nothing.

Has anyone heard from Shubunkin or Gonza ??  I do have Danielle's email (shubunkin) so I will drop a line to her, maybe her DH will be checking. I'm going to guess they are both new mommies ?!

I have never had a 3D u/s.  I thought it would have been cool though.  I too had quite a few due to my LEEP and had to have my cervical length checked often.  I have a question though.  I did ask this before but now there are so many new ppl maybe someone else can answer me.  My u/s pics were not on paper like they were with my DD.  They are on what looks like x-ray film.  Is there a way to get those into a picture????  I would like to put them in my srapbook but you have to hold it to the light to see them.  If anyone has any suggestions on this please help.  Thanks ladies.

I've been looking for those two as well.  Please let us know if you hear anything back after you email shubunkin.  I'm guessing you are right and they both have their little ones.  I think girls are just more stuburn then boys.  My doctor laughs and says "you know how long it takes women to get ready to make an appearance".

I've come to realize that she will not come until c-section day.  Which is 4/25  11 days !!  I can wait.  Especially since I heard that the weather here in NJ was going to get into the mid 70's-80 next week.  Woo-hoo !

You can take them to a photo lab and get them transferred onto photo paper but it can be pricey

Can it be any photo lab like the photo dept at like Walmart or Meijer etc.?????  Thank you so much.  I will pay to have a couple done I think.   Thanks again.

I don't know about Wal-Mart but the Kodak centre where I come from does it.  It probably wouldn't hurt to try there, may be cheaper!!!

As far as the military hospital goes no they don't. You may want to call the local university and ask them if they do them. Ours here in el paso charge $10.00 to do it with a 3d. so check there. Just look up the medical department and keep asking till they send you to the right one.
