Thought it might be fun to share a little about ourselves.
I've been married 18 yrs.  Have an 11 yr old daughter and a 7 yr old son.
I like to read but rarely have time.  Don't watch much tv but did watch Army Wives and occassionally catch Days of our Lives on soapnet.
I love chocolate and that's probably why I could never lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight.

My name is Allison.   Dh and I have 3 beautiful little girls.  Hayley 8,  Audrey 2  and Alyssa 5 days old.  We just moved into our new house and have renovated from top to bottom.  Its so beautiful.   I never watch t.v. anymore b/c I dont have time but when I do have a life again I will be watching Greys Anatomy and Nip/tuck.  I used to watch Y&R but havent seen it since the beginning of summer.  We are so proud of our family and also very fortunate.

I'm MJ, and DH and I have 3 wonderful daughters (Katherine 14.5, Khryscynda 10, and Lilith 2 weeks) - and hope that perhaps one day we can try again for another.  We are currently renting but might consider buying a house soon, however we have a hard time ignoring the call of the road (wanderlust).  I am addicted to TV, because after bedrest, and the c-section there isn't much else I can really do.  So... it's Law and Order, or usually what is on TnT Network, Sci-Fi, or History Channel.  My DH and I have been married for a little over a month - but I knew the day I met him I would spend the rest of my life with him (I can't begin to speak about how much I love this man).  My family is my life, it's what makes it worth living.

I am kristy and I have two children and have three term babies.  My oldest son was adopted as a baby and he will be 15(almost time to go looking for him), daughter who is 11 and my other son who is 11w old.  I am a single mother living with my parents and all three of us share a room.  I could care less of the space issue because I am very thankful that I have a place to live and my sister watches my baby when I work and Ryan goes to work with me 2 days a week.  I am happy about life and look forward to what is to come and know my children will be happy and one day I will meet a man who will love me and have another child.  For right now I am focusing on my children as I love them with all my heart.  I am 29 years old and will be 30 in Nov.

i am 24 years old.  my dh and i have been together for 4 years and have been married for almost 3 months.  i have no children yet, but am avidly trying, and despite my frustrations, i am determined.  i never thought i would love someone so much that does not yet exist, but i do. and i long for them, who ever they may be.  i have been at the same job for 8 years now, in my free time i am a karaoke/open mic. queen, i have 3 cats, i love to do art and crochet and knit.  i love to paint, and someday want to have my own business selling my wares while i stay at home with my children.  and as for television i must admit, i am officially obsessed with grey's anatomy.  perhaps that beloved season premere will be the key to my unwinding and chilling the freak out so i can concieve (conceive)!  lol!  i am so glad to have found you guys!

I am Andi/Andrea, been married for 7 years to John. We have three boys, Jonathan (Bub) is 5, will be 6 in Dec. Tristan (T) turned three in May, and Clayton (CJ) will be 1 on October 28th.  We bought our first home in March and have been making changes like crazy! I have three degrees, one in nursing, one in early childhood education, and one was a paralegal certification in TX, I live in Washington, just north of our states capitol of Olympia.

I am a SAHM and my oldest starts school tomorrow!! We are done having babies, but I see myself eventually returning the workforce once all the kids are in school, even if just as an on-call/PT lactation consultant or perhaps as a PP doula as suggested by Peek ; )

My name is Mindy...I married my high school sweetheart, and we have been happily married for 5 years. We have a 26 month old little girl named Madleyn, and we are expecting our second daughter Jordana in Dec. I Found this site 9 months ago when I was struggling to concieve (conceive) and now I am about 3 months away from having another! It was refreshing to find women who sympathised with what I was going through and mostly eveyone has been so supportive and helpful!...I plan to stay here a long time, I just love the help and support I get here:) I love to watch movies and TV when I can, I am a HUGE Grey's Anatomy fan as well...(and a big fan of Mcdreamy;) Love to watch football w/ dh as well..(he thinks thats really cool:) We own a home in a quiet New England town, and it is the perfect place to raise children. I work PT now, but I have enjoyed being a SAHM as well for most of my daughter's life. My next goal is to become an artist in Floral design, which I plan to work toward this fall and winter...

MIchelle here, commonly known as chelle by those i know and love :) i am 29 (ugh) going on 12, live in St. Petersburg, (no, it's not as nice as you heard!lol) Florida(tourism capital of the US) . it's always hot here and winter lasts two days, i swear!

i live together with benjamin, my signifigant other of the past almost two years. we aren't married and are pregnant, on purpose, with twins. in our hearts and minds we don't feel a rush to marry because i am pregnant, though we have discussed doing that when the girls are 2 or 3 maybe. (i am the reluctant one) we rent a house, just actually signed a year lease last month to allow us time to decide where we want to live so we can start house shopping. there are 7 years between ben and i and we could not be happier. he's a splendid partner, if a bit too doting on ocassion.

we have pet fish, but want a puppy for our girls. now to agree on breed. oh, and i work for a dock building company. i am the administrative assistant, do all, end all, glorified flunky, but they treat me wonderfully and are very understanding.

(whew, that is a novel)

I live in Virginia and will be 35 (ugh!) in November.  I have a stunning baby girl named Ameera who will turn 1 on the 21st of September.  I live with in-laws which is good and bad, but I am able to work and finish completing my landscape design degree.  I have been with DH for 11 years and married for 6.

I found this site after a surprise pregnancy after trying for 5 years and giving up all hope. I was elated and scared as I was unprepared but this site really helped out a lot and I was happy to find a lot of nice caring people.  It helped me through a lot of difficult times (colic, then teething, we are STILL teething non stop!)  I recommend this site to anyone who has issues or questions relating to pregnancy, etc.

My vote for a dog is a border collie/lab mix. Gentle as gentle gets, very sweet, smart as a whip, and loyal. Plus they'll heard your kids for you when they get to owly ; )

I am a Leo, not that you couldn't guess by my apparent high-horse attitude.

Way back in the day, they used to allow members to email each other. I made some really great ladies that way. I was able to offer specific help and advice to a few women who kept getting lost on the board. I just can't wait for the private messaging they keep talking about, my box will be full of hate mail. Since peek likes it so much, I will have to forward them on to her ; )

hey what do you guys think about boxers? Ben wants a boxer, mastiff or some similar large breed while i lean to mediums like jack russels or even a small like a pug (thinking of ginormous piles of poop in the yard to go with double poopy diapers may have swayed me!)

maybe a lab mix would be a good idea. they are such pleasant breeds. are they jealous?

everyone says bad things about Dobies, but my mother raised me around a red dobie named Ursula and a Rottweiller named Tika. they loved me and were always nudging me around. sometimes the Dobie would sit on me and lick my hair till Mom rescued me :) (man, i miss having a pet dog) no one would dare mess around in our yard or with me when i walked them, even though they were the most timid and sweet dogs i had even seen.

boxers are so good with kids, very protective and very understanding lol.  my ex's family has boxers and we had one when my son was born. she would let him crawl all over her and she never once did a thing about it.  however if you play fight with the kids, the dogs will go nuts they dont want anyone touching them.  if you can get past the bad breath and face licks they are great!  my favorite dog was the one i grew up with. she was siberian husky with a touch of german shepard.  she was the absolute best!! she died just before her 18th birthday and the whole family was broken up just as peek described.  since then i have a hard time becoming attached to pets.

its important to do what you love.  i might check into that.  my mom loves plants and maybe she could retire and we open a little place, but i know its hard to do we have a million here.  you have to find something that others dont offer.  i hope it works out for you!  im determined right now to not work for a bit after the baby.  jeff leaves for some time again and i really dont make enough massaging to do daycare, i have always done it part time and it would have to hustle to get more clients.  that is the poopy thing about self employment, you dont get clients you dont get paid.

Have you thought about working at a chiropractor or spa? maybe you have...they could help get you clients...I know my MT at the chiropractor I go too only works as much as she wants there, as well as the clients on her own she has on the side..

I have always wanted to open my own shop for anything (jewelry, flowers, etc.)...but I would be clueless on the business spectrum of it...guess I would have to take a course in business management as well, lol! I more than happy to have dh do all the working, so I can stay w/ the kids, and I have enjoyed it while I can...unfortunately, money is tighter than ever now, and winters are rough here in NH...I needed to find something to help him out. I can only handle so many cleaning jobs w/ my bad back(and being preggers), so I am eager to get into a job I an excited about...dh has been so supportive of whatever I want to do, its wonderful!

bops i dont care for the spa scene as an employee, they make you work your booty off and i just dont want to do that with my clients.  the chiro too isnt the kind of setting i like.  i was a registered dental asst for 18 years, i worked my tail off, we were an over a million a year type of practice and i am worn out now lol.  i have considered getting my wholesale license and selling jewelry or things where i work or doing home parties.  i met a lady that goes to L.A. to buy purses and jewelry and other fun things and goes to homes for parties or does social events where you can rent a booth. i love to talk about things i like and who doesnt like sparklies? lol  i am very involved with my son at school too, i truely believe if you stay involved it makes a huge difference in their education and the path they follow.  so working anothers hours wouldnt work.  its hard to try to be the kind of parent you want to be and maintain a job that goes by boss' hours.  i did that for some time and i do believe my son loves this much more now.  he knows that everyday when i pick him up he could never tell me he doesnt have homework ect lol.  he wouldnt anyway, he tells on himself always with me! guilt maybe lol.  well im off to get waxed, i am sure i will have to end that soon too if i cut back.  darn i hate looking like a wooly mammoth!

That is so true, that is why I didn't continue to work after Madelyn was born...I wanted my baby to come first, and I won't be doing much after this little gal is born, but unfortunatly, our family is struggling w/ just one pay check and w/ one more on the way, I have to do what I can to help, beside being a good mom and wife. The Prenatal MT I've been seeing works from her home and has her own hours too...she also sell Mary Kay, and she says she has over 150 customers. She says she makes more selling the MK, than she does w/ her few massage clients...

Waxing?? What is that??lol I was at the beach last month and realized I hadn't shaved my legs in weeks..You know when I finally got around to doing it?? 2 days ago, lol! I have been called an earthy-type gal, but that takes the cake, lol! Have fun waxing! :)

Well, she has an office that is attached to her home, its not likes it's in her bedroom or anything. She is very professional, she used to work in an office, but after she bought her house, wanted to have her new office off of her home. She will talk your ear off, I can see why SHE has 150 customers, lol! She tried to get me to sell their stuff (you know how they are always trying to recruit ppl) I told her I wasn't really that interested in selling it myself. (make up is not really my deal, well being overly girly in general is not my thing, lol...guess that explains the 2 months of not shaving my legs...I know what you mean about reaching 'down there' to 'clean up'..I feel like a weeble people trying to reach over my big ol' belly) As for my eyebrows, I pluck, which reminds me....and I do have my upper lip done when I get around to it,but its not too bad..

I'm Brooke, (middle name Ann, thus the moniker AnnieBrooke).  Been married since 1979 and tried to conceive almost as long, including a failed IVF try in 1990 that swept clean all our savings and our last hopes then --  :(  boy we were poor as churchmice.  But by 2006, things had improved and although we had given up, an adoption attorney had suggested a surrogate.  I said to dh, "Well, we wouldn't have to have a surrogate, just a donor egg.  I could carry a baby," and even though it seemed like science fiction, we went for it.  In early 2007 our son Augustus was born. (Play the heavenly music here please!!!!!)  I was not the oldest mommy they had seen in Labor & Delivery, but close.  One nurse frankly told me she thought we were crazy, but we don't get that kind of blowback from most people.  And I'm about the happiest I've ever been.

We live in rural Oregon outside of Oregon City on an old farm, with remodeled house and Christmas trees that belong to a farmer who rents our field, and have three dogs (two Golden Retrievers, if you want a nice, comical and patient breed) and seven cats.  (Every time I give a cat away, a new one roams in.)  I work as a legal editor for a consulting firm.  I edit reports, proposals to clients, look over the legal agreements, and lately the firm's website text, (very dull work that one is!)  I have a law degree but didn't practice law, I wanted it for the credential in the business world.  So now I stay home and work part time by fax!  I'll bet people are soo impressed (LOL).  Even more if they could see me working in my pajamas.

My appendix ruptured and abscessed badly when I was a teenager, which essentially ended my fertility though it took many years to figure that out.  We had so many different attempts to get pregnant, from IUI to IVF to charting, graphing, acupuncture, consultations, endless boring sex-by-calendar, sheez, everything besides having sex while the doctor watched.  That's why I have so much to gab on about when people post.

I don't watch much TV...I get on my computer and dh sits near me with earphones and watches every action-packed car-chase or spy show out there.  Who can complain!  It gives me a chance to keep up with MedHelp.  :)

Hi, I'm Michelle.  I live in Ohio with my husband, Lukas, and 3 cats and a dog (shi-poo) named Tucker.  We are expecting our first child at the end of January.  I am a speech language pathologist, and work in a rehabilitation clinic.  This forum has been very helpful to me, sometimes answering questions I didn't even think of yet!

Thankfully, my pregnancy has been uneventful so far.  Just a couple of weeks ago I felt the baby moving for the first time, dh is soo jealous!  I suppose he will be able to feel the baby soon enough.  No need to hurry all the hard kicks :)  My only real (unhealthy) craving has been for creme filled donuts with chocolate icing.  YUM!

brooke (guessi can stop calling you annie) iam jealous!! your life sounds perfect as far as working from home with little 154 lol and the animals and xmas trees.  i had  a quick vision of the movie funny farm lol but how great that sounds. to not hear your neighbors cabinet doors close . i woke up and could smell the neighbors coffee at 530 this morning! that wasnt bad though.  i would love to live in the country,  send my kids  to a small school and wait for the school bus on the dirt road that leads to my house.  instead ill just keep driving 40 minutes in horrible air polluted traffic and pray someday we can move lol.  its so great to get to know people more than just the consistency of their cervical mucus and position of their cervix lol.   at least there havent been any acrylic fingernails to worry about!

LOL -- that WAS the grossest post, except of course Andi's recently posted link to the photo of Master Poopy Boy.  The only less-than-perfect part is that the work comes in at inconvenient times, and it's not getting my resume anywhere.  But a small price if I get to have a baby!   Annie

ps -- haven't found any skeletal hands and arms yet under the ground, though we do find a lot of the previous owner's family's garbage.  I think they never in 11 years had trash pick-up, they buried it all.

Hi, my name is Rosie. I am 32 years old going to 33 on Sept. 17. My husband is JC and is 33 years old. I have been married for 10 years already. I have 2 boys in my life. One is 7 years old (Joshua)  and the other is in heaven (Jason). He would have been 2 years old in Nov. 8. I had a stillbirth at 36 weeks of pregnancy in Nov. 2005. It has been a hard road to walk on but if it wasn't for God, my husband and son and of course my family, I would have never been able to get through it. I am currently trying to get pregnant at this moment. And I am a stay at home mommy and loving it! I say loving it because I am enjoying my son now since the first 4 years of his life, I was working and I felt like I missed so much of him. I enjoying spending my time with my family and of course, "I AM A EBAY FREAK!!!!!!"

I am signing in kind of late. Probably missed a lot of you, but it was interesting learning about all of you. I love this site. Stumbled onto mh probably around April or so this year, while looking at the Cleveland Clinic for Dr's for my Dad with Meniere's disease-he wouldn't go for years bc there wasn't a specialist within 3 hours of him. But, I am now 1 hour away from Cleveland, so my parents came up for a visit and my ds took him to his appt. Anyhow, I am a Virgo, too. On September 14th, I'll be 37. Age doesn't bother me, though bc my dh will always be 7 years older, lol! I have a great sense of humor, but may come across as blunt unintentionally bc I'm usually factual and matter of fact. (Wow, this is harder than I thought to think of describing myself.) I was a labor/delivery/newborn nursery RN for nearly 15 years when I was able to become a SAHM.  I birthed 2 children, but have nurtured(babysat) many infants over the years from birth until they went to preschool-I worked weekends, uggg! A couple were special needs-one had a lung problems from being a premie and needed nebulizer treatment, another had a club foot and weekly castings, brace, etc.and a boy with cerebral palsy and mental retardation. I have even taken some of them to the dr's office and love them all as if they are my own.  My ds is now 13 and my dd is 9 1/2. Plus, I am currently babysitting a 2 yr old and 10 1/2 month old (girl and boy, respectively). I love children and was one of the very fortunate ones that did not have any trouble conceiving. Just preterm labor. My dh and I have been married 15 1/2 years. Dated for what will be 17 years-yikes, I think I'm old compared to most here. I will more than likely return to labor/delivery/newborn nursery after my kids either get to college to help foot the bills. I recently moved out of state due to dh's job, now in northeastern Ohio. Lived in mid western WV all my life prior. I am passionate about children's mental as well as physical health, minored in child psychology. Encourage breastfeeding and have had extensive classes by Laleche League and the largest children's hospital in WV.(have certificate) BF both children-1st only 6 weeks but 2nd 14 or 15 months. Sorry, wrote a book after not knowing what to write. Love helping others and this site.

You can officially be in the "Old Cow Club" if you want.  Put contact info in your profile.  I'll send you the membership application and our corporate info.  You have to wear a gigantic cow head in public, though.

Its always nice to see your posts.

I couldn't figure out why I felt funny when you said everything sounded perfect. Thinking it over, I guess what is not perfect is that since I'm staying at home and working only part time, it really means I won't be able to easily get another job ever again, even after Augie no longer needs my constant care.  That worries me because what happens if my dh loses the capacity to earn?  I guess there are always crumpled petals in any bed of roses, and every SAHM who was in the outside workforce before probably worries about these things.

ps -- Country schools around here bite the big one.  Oregonians are not very loving and giving when it comes to school levies, so there is always a huge problem finding the funding for schools.  Other than that, look at the bright side, there IS a school bus!  LOL

I can always count on you for a laugh, you're a hoot! I hope the fees aren't that expensive, lol! Anyhow, the gigantic cow head might be nice since I have the two babies at 7:30 am and don't always get to brush my hair. Oh well....Nice to hear from you. Hope your heart issues get resolved quickly and your neck is feeling better.

Hi all, my name is Cherie and I am 34yrs old.  My dh and I will have been married 6 years as of this Saturday. (We got stranded at the airport after our honeymoon due to 9/11, but that's a whole other story!)  Found this site almost 2 years ago after having to mc's back-to-back.  Finally carried to term after supplimenting with Prometrium and taking baby aspirin, and gave birth to my ds 10mo. ago.  I'm currently pregnant with baby #2 and due March 12, 2008.  (I think it's another boy, but dh says it's a girl this time... we'll see who's right in a few more weeks.)  Besides the risk factor for having Rheumatoid Arthritis, I am also classified as a "habitual aborter"-- which sounds like a terrible thing, but it does have some perks... I get to have ultrasounds every couple of weeks, and more regular visits.  I never got AF back after having my ds, just got preggo again, so I'm classified as "high risk".  But, everything looks good so far!!
I was a zookeeper for 10 years before trading in my pooper-scooper to be a SAHM (hmmm... actually I still deal with a lot of poo, just from a different source!! hahaha).  We moved from San Diego, CA to Missouri 2 1/2 yrs ago so we could afford for me to stay home and raise a family.  We have a little 28 ac. horse ranch out in the country, with currently 10 horses and a stallion (and 3 fillies born this year).  We have 3 golden retrievers (I agree with you AnnieBrooke-- they are great with kids!), a Sheltie, 2 barn cats, and a bunch of chickens.  Anyone need some farm fresh eggs?
Guess that's about it!  It's a hoot checking out this site everyday and seeing all that's new... and funny (like Andi's poopy graffiti!)

brooke the grass is always greener isnt it?  my son does go to a great school, i am thankful for that. we lived in the "country" before we married and it was fun.  well except for the freakn roosters.  i thought they only cockadoodledood at sunrise, but no they like to do it all times of the night!! lol.  i loved the little moo the baby cows gave when trying to mimic their moms.  its been fun to read about everyone.  the funny thing is who i am now, is so different than i was years ago.  maybe that is why i feel the way i do about certain things i wont mention.  i was into tattoos, piercings and ripped black fishnets with matching lipstick.  the mosh pit was mine and i partied with hardcore punk bands.  i was invincable.  i know i spelled that wrong!  now i barely wear makeup , my hair is not fixed daily and flip flops are my favorite shoe.  having a baby changed me. i have to set an example.  while i still would love more tattoos, maybe someday lol.  i would rather have a cat than a dog. i was attached to my sons rat that at the end of her life i cried and cried and the vet just held me lol.  i am a dork and i cant hide it from anyone. im sarcastic and my son get is everytime lol.  i want to work in the zoo with the monkeys!!! what a great way to spend the day!

Trust me-- you don't want to work in the zoo with the monkeys-- been there, done that!!  I was one of the few zookeepers to leave with all my fingers!  (And unlike Andi's poop-painting son, monkeys don't just play with it...they love to "recycle" it over, and over... nasty!!!)  :oP  Ugh!! hahaha.

Hi ya'll

My name is Jennifer & I'm 44 years old.  I joined medhelp when I was going through the long wait from my transfer (IVF) until my beta in which I found out I'm pg.  I'm like Mozart in that I taught music and private piano for 15 years in which I had to give up after a very nasty car accident although I still play extensively.  As ya'll can see from my profile, I live in New Mexico.

I have 4 children from a previous marriage and my dh and I've been married since 99 and am due May 2, 2008.

It's nice to hear from everyone!

I'm Ruth, from the UK I'm age 31 and have 4 children and one on the way. I have 3 daughters from my previous marriage. I married my DH Ian on 1st October 2005. We have a 3 year old daughter together and we are currently pregnant with a baby boy due in November.
I am lucky to have a home based job so I can be a SAHM. I'm self employed making award winning mohair collectors teddy bears since September 2003. It started off as a hobby of mine this year is a bit of an anniversary as I've been making bears for 10 years this December. I also design jointed bear patterns for a fabric supply shop and sell miniature bear kits so crafty people can try their hand at a great new hobby :) This year one of my designs was manufactured by The Dean's Ragbook Co. which is the UK's oldest teddy bear manufacturer.
We have an English Cocker Spaniel, a ginger tom cat, a dwarf hamster and an aquarium of tropical fish.

My name is Michelle and I live in NY, in the burbs about one hour north of the city.  We live in a fantastic village on the Hudson River in a 1922 colonial home we bought 2 years ago.  Great schools, train to NYC, beautiful hiking trails, lots to do, but very expensive to live here.  I have been married for 8 years and we have a son that will be 4 in October.  I work part time as a chiropractor.  I am in private practice with my husband (also a chiro) about 1/2 from where we live.  I run the office (payroll, bills, etc.) and see patients four days (1/2 days) per week.  I feel like a SAHM because I only work about 20 hours per week, and I'm the boss.  My parents watch my son when I'm at the office.  They live about 15 minutes away.
It takes many years to get through college and chiropractic school, so we didn't start a family until later, I am 38 years old, my DH is 37.
I have had 2 MC in the past year, the last one just one week ago.  I came to this site for support when I found out I was pregnant two months ago, scared after my MC in November.  I am usually on the pregnancy +35 site - sometimes I feel too old to be on this one.
I love reading about everyone - from all different places, with different backgrounds, together for the same reason - motherhood.

Hi, my name is Audrey and I'm 22 yrs old (23 in Nov). I'm a single mom and I have the most wonderful son, Trevor, who is 2 1/2 yrs old (3 in Nov, his b-day is 10 days after mine)! He is the joy of my life, very smart and quick-witted for a toddler, and such a clown--he'll do anything for a laugh!

I started college through homeschool at age 15, got a GED at 17, and graduated college last April ('06) with a BA degree and a major in communications (with an emphasis in print journalism) and a minor in English. Last July I began my career as a technical writer through an internship, and in Dec I was hired full time.

In April this year, I bought my first house--it's small, but it's a perfect little castle for Trevor and me. It's in a nice little neighborhood too. I feel so fortunate and blessed--I never could've made it this far in my life without my wonderful mom, who has supported me through thick and thin and provided all financial means for Trevor and me for the last two yrs. I feel especially fortunate to have her because she had colon cancer 5 yrs ago, but she pulled through thankfully!

I go to a really great church, which is fairly small, and I consider everyone there like my second family. They are some of the most wonderful people I am privileged to know.

I'm completely addicted to this site and I come here as often as I can. I like this forum and the Child Behavior forum most. I hope to have 2 or 3 more children in the future, and I also plan to pursue adoption in the next 10-15 years (something I feel God has laid on my heart to do since I was 10 years old).

I have two birds (a senegal parrot, Sweetie, and a cockatiel, Petie), two dogs (a border collie, Eric--who is the puppy in my profile picture--and a short, black mutt, Blackie), and a purple betta fish (Captain Purplefins). I also help my mom quite a bit with her small farm, where she has 20-something sheep (Navajo churros), two chickens, and four dogs (a Great Pyranease, Ivy, two border collies, Nic and Dove, and a westie, Zeke).

We also have 2 dogs, a keeshond and a springer spaniel. Oh, let's not forget the 125 gallon fish tank with only 4 huge fish in it. I work 4 nights a week as a server. I have a BA in economics, but got pg right after college unexpectedly.

i have no pets, and dont intend to for awhile, but the other day i wanted a puppy so bad!! andi i had a desert tortoise i got the day she hatched from her egg.  i had her 15 years and then my parents moved (they kept her) and someone stole her out of the yard. it was a new development so i am guessing maybe a worker saw her in the yard, she was way too big to escape under a fence.  i want a pygmy cow! they are adorable!

If you get a puppy, get a border collie! Well, that is, if you have a place big enough for its hyperactivity to not be an issue.
BCs are so smart, loving, gentle, fun, and ditzy! The two my mom has are littermates, Nic and Dove, and they like to play with their food bowls (we call their game "bowl hockey"), Dove thinks she's hot stuff when she gets to "herd" the sheep, and they howl at you when you call their names--they're absolutely hilarious!
And Eric, well what can I say--the poor dog's cross-eyed, has enormous ears, hops like a bunny (partially due to hip dysplasia), and his voice cracks when he barks! But he is so loving, gentle and friendly. He's high maintenance (with hip dysplasia and partial blindness) and has special needs, but he's worth it!
A pygmy cow? Never heard of those! I'll bet they ARE adorable!

Most of us questioned her whole story.  YOU found the ultrasound picture, which I still for the life of me can't figure out how you found it so fast.  I used the exact terms you said you did, and did not find them.  I must have spent 2 days pouring over hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of pictures on Yahoo, Google, AltaVista, everywhere.
That picture was really buried, and it is on a webpage that is not even active any more.  And you found it like nothing.  Wow!

So you are from the twin cities?  Nice to meet you.  There are a few people on MH from there, so you should find people to chat about local stuff.  Do you have family there?  Sorry, I'm nosy!

My name is Kelly and my hubby and I have been married for 4 years.  We've been together for 11 years though.  We are both 37 years old - I have a 21 year old son (who I put up for adoption and regret it every day) and I have 2 wonderful step children from my husband's first marriage - an 18 year old daughter and a 16 year old son.  We tried to conceive for several years before going through IVF.  We are now 15w4d with twin boys.

We live in the Dallas area of Texas.  I work as an Animal Control Officer and my husband is a "computer nerd" - handles all kinds of stuff.  Ok - I don't really  know what he does :)   Some computer stuff.

We have a 225 pound Saint Bernard, 180 mastiff and 3 chihuahuas.  We also have a couple cats and 2 birds.  It's a work hazard.

Right now my only hobbies are sleeping whenever I can and watching tv.  Getting too big to do much of anything else.

no i wouldnt say nothing!! i too searched alot. and looked over many  pics. i knew if it was out there that anyone could see how distinct it was, i was also clicking many quad  links which led to more. i atfirst spelled "quad ultrasound pics"wrong and fou'nd some pages, then saw the "did u mean" and found others. i also changed the wording too.i guess i even got more sceptical after seeing that chat from the troll hunter so i did do alot of clicking actually. i wasnt even sure how i found it.i did say how i thought i found it on the other posts but when i went back to retrace my steps, i just had sooo many pages open i got lost!! besides at that point i didnt care how i found it but that i did find it.then i read the questioning about my being able to find pics . so to try and validate myself.:) last night i went over my history and it was so full i clicked on most of it to see the EXACT steps i took. i even looked through google images links(where they just show pictures) peek i wish i could give you a very detailed account to prove it, however i cant. i was pretty excited finding it. if not for the people she had trusting her, to prove it to myself to stick to intuition.
yes we r north of tc a little and yes some of family is here. my parents and bro.and all of shawns family. otherwise my aunts and uncles and cousins were and still are military,(thats my dads side) they live allover! but most of us chat, thanks to the internet and cell phones! nice to meet u 2. i see that you are sly with your questioning !! i get it i think you like to feel people out...check thier validity thats not nosy ,just protection.

Congrats on your twins. My in-laws are the king and queen of twin grandparenting. They have 3 sets. Anyhow, my daughter wants to be you, an Animal Control Officer. She watches that show, in TX I believe, animal cops. That's been her dream for probably 3 years now (she's 9 1/2)! Good luck with your pregnancy!

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. My name is Samantha. I'm 28, been married to my husband Shaun for a little less than 4 years. We are expecting our first baby on March 10th, 2008 and are excited, happy, and scared at the same time. We have 2 dogs, a huge white Akita (5y, boy) which we love to death and a hyperactive Jack Russell (1.5y, girl) that drives us crazy!! I have worked as a nanny for the same family since their son was 5 months old, he is 4.5 years old now. I adore him and love him like he was my own. They asked us to relocate to FL with them when they were moving 3 years ago and WE DID! I'm also in school to finish my MBA, but it has been very hard to attend classes in the past 2 months since I have had the pleasure of enjoying morning sickness and fatigue at all hours of the day! WHY DO THEY CALL IT MORNING SICKNESS?? I have been around infants and toddlers a lot so i'm hoping that I have gained enough experience to be able to take care of my own newborn. I have to say that I do panic over every little thing with this pregnancy...I donno why...I guess since we have no family closeby could be a factor. My parents don't even live in the same country as I do! AS I mentioned above we moved to Orlando, FL about 3 years ago. IMy husband was able to trasfer down here. It's not so bad except for not having as many friends and support that we would have had if we were still in Chicago. I love or should I say LOVED to cook...since I can't stand the smell of food right now. I love to read a good book and my favorite hobby these days? To be able to WATCH MOVIES ALL DAY LONG!!! I'm embarressed to say that It's what I've been doing for the past few weeks on my days off! It does not requires much activity so I can just be lazy all day! I am so excited to get to know everyone and hoping that we all have healthy babies!! :D

Hi, I'm April. I have three beautiful kids, a 19 year old son in college, a 15 year old daughter and a 3 year old son whom we're trying to potty train right now! (Whew!) My three year old was a surprise baby but a wonderful blessing and we all adore him. My husband is retired military and we have traveled all over the world. I am mostly a stay at home mom but work weekends as a CNA. I'm thinking about and wanting to return to school and get a higher nursing degree. I have a small dog and a cat who are old and lazy and lay around a lot. My daughter just got a kitten who's a wild little thing! We have a strong faith in God and love meeting new people.
I stumbled onto this site a few months ago when I was having some health issues and have learned a lot. I like helping and/or encouraging others when I can. I like seeing the support you all give each other here and really enjoy the different personalities! Some of you crack me up with your joking and bantering and make my day! :) Glad to meet you all!

Just want to thank everyone for all the helpful comments and questions!  It's nice to know that I'm not the only one worrying and questioning  =)

I am a married mother of two. I just started my oldest child in kindergarten last week and my "baby" just started the learning program at our daycare (it's a home daycare). I work a pretty stressful job but generally love what I do. My working affords my husband and I the ability to travel with our kids and show them really neat places. I enjoy being with my family, cooking, traveling, tennis, and throwing dinner parties (complete with children). I grew up in the northwest suburbs of the Twin Cities, and that is where I met my husband.

ok so maybe i have ocd but, i went trying to figure out , how the hello did i get the site to the ferrell (sp) quads to come up. figured it out now- you know how you type stuff into google and the more you flip around the wording about the same subject different sites come up? well thats what happened  withme, ihad entered many diff phrases about quads and looked at many pics but, this is the one that brought me to the ferrell quads site..."quads ultrasound pics"  if you type into google just a few sites down and you will see their site, it was just one of many quad sites, obviously you know.!!

i had to figure out how the hell i did find it....OCD!!  ok end of subject for me.

Wow, I don't know how I missed this post must just be the absent mindedness I've been faced with the last couple of days; working on my finals this week so my undies are a bit in a bunch, mix that with pregnancy and there too tight too. :)

My name is Amber, I've been married for a little over 4 years we live in MN. We have three children, 6, 3, 1 and one on the way (Jan). Nice to meet all of you!

LOL!!!!  (tipping my glass of wine to that!)  We aren't just moving for kindergarten.  Dh and I decided that we would want him to remain in the same school district through high school.  At the rate the public schools are failing, we want to give him some kind of chance, you know :)

I agree with you 100%. DH and I will live here till our last child graduates from high school. All of our "looking for a house" plans revolve around the school attendance zones!
