Ovulating after miscarriage

Hello there. I was 9 wks pg at my dr's appt in the am of 08/17/05. Had been spotting off & on for about 3 days. Ultrasound showed my baby to only be at 5 wks gestation. Had a natural m/c that night.  Bled for exactly 7 days - no d&c needed and resumed "activity" on 08/24/05. I started chkng my cm and believed I had the ewcm around 08/14/05 or so. Was getting busy around 08/10, 08/11, 08/14, 08/15, 08/16, and then stopped for a couple of days. No cycle yet, no breast tenderness, but the before-cycle feeling I'd get in my leg returned about a week ago or so. Could I have ovulated around the 14th or was it just my imagination? I have 3 children, terminated a pg in '94, and this pregnancy ended with a m/c. Had a dr's appt on 09/09 and dr said ok to try again right away. In office pg test was neg, so hcg levels were definately down low enuf. I've heard u can ovulate b4 your menstrual returns after a m/c but I'm confused. I don't feel pg at all. I actually feel the same way I did b4 I found out I was pg this last time, which was a week after my cycle was supposed to start. The only thing is that the breast tenderness that I used to get b4 my cycle is not there. Can anyone offer some advice on my many issues (smile).

if you think progesterone might be a miscarriage issue - test right away so doc can put you on it
good luck

Thx for the input, but dr said the m/c was probably due to chromo. abnormalities which is very common.  All of my other pg's were normal.

no way your doctor could know that for sure unless he was able to test you for it with your miscarriage. my doc said the same thing when I miscarried BUT when I got pregnant the next time he tested my progesterone level right away and, sure enough, it was way too low to sustain a pregnancy- he put me on progesterone supplements and my little miracle baby is now just over a month old... :o) have  the level checked next time- better safe than sorry.

I just miscarried and I was on progestrone. We are not sure how far a long the baby was when it stopped growing but the doctor also said it was a chromo. abnorm. and that we would m/c.

Well, I will definately have my progesterone levels chkd next time.  AF arrived last night.  I'm gonna pick up a couple of opk's this week for when af leaves town.  Hopefully if I will ovulate as normal with this cycle. I may not have ovulated before she came.  I heard not everyone ovulates after a m/c and b4 their 1st cycle.  We'll see what happens.
