Ovulation and my cycle

Okay So this is going to be a long question and I'm sorry if this has already been asked I am just so lost and I don't really have anyone to go to...
So I have been off of my BCP since September and I have had one normal period which started on the 17th of October.. So I have been reading a book about ovulation and all of that.. I have noticed some different things with my body that I never noticed before... I just wanted some feedback on my situation..

When I started my period on the 17th It was pretty normal lasted about 7 days and everything went fine.My cycle was 28 days long. If I counted right. So if I am counting right my most fertile days were from October 28th until today.. Yesterday I noticed I had a little bit of discharge that was really sticky and stretchy... I have felt a little wierd today.. but not bad...

So I guess my question is Do you think that I have ovulated? and when can I test? Do I have to wait until I have missed my period??

I am also trying to find out if ive ovulated but mines a bit more tricky as i had a m/c recently.  Ive just bought some ovulation test strips which i think are very useful in finding out when u are ovulating.  The advice I have always read is to test once u have missed ure period as if you test before this, the result might show as negative when u are in fact positive.  its to do with a hormone level which increases daily when u are pregnant so unless this is high enough to be picked up by the test, it might come back negative.  i think u can also get early pregnancy tests which u can take b4 u have missed a period but i don't know much about these.

You probably did ovulate. I too had a m/c on 8/24/06. Once i started ttc i got so in tuned with my body i know exactly when i'm ovulating. I usually start getting slight cramps and my discharge is different as a matter of fact i think i ovulated yesterday afternoon. I didn't bother my husband last night but trust me he will see me tonight lol...i hope it's not to later. I want to get pregnant again so bad it's just driving me crazy. My doc wanted me to wait two cycle after the m/c to start ttc again so i hope this is the month. Sticky baby dust to you!
I usually wait until the day my period is due to test or u can wait a day or two later. i use the first response.
