Im a white mother of my beautiful 3 week old babygirl. But im having trouble believing her father is her dad. I was single having fun and had a one-night stand with a white male sometime in the end of feb! and i know this sounds horrible, but i dont remember if he used protection. But note: he didnt finish the deed. we were stopped before he could climax.(but can pre-*** cause preganancy?) Then later i met the love of my life in March. my last period was April 5th. And my boyfriend and i were firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc sexually together on April 9th. which after we had sexBuccal smear Causes of sexual dysfunction Child abuse - sexual Delayed ejaculation Erection problems Female sexual dysfunction Inhibited sexual desire Orgasmic dysfunction Puberty and adolescence Rape Safe sex ... i started spottingVaginal bleeding between periods(maybe left over bleeding from my period?) then i took a pregnancy test april 23rd... it showed neg. and i took one again april 28th and it BARELY showed pos. then May 4th i sarted bleeding really bad and went to the emergencyEmergency airway puncture Emergency contraception room, were they told me i had a miscarriage. so 3days later at my follow up with my doctor, they informed me i was indeed still pregnant and had a bloodcolt that was trying to come out causing the bleeding. and maybe the emergencyEmergency airway puncture Emergency contraception room thought i was miscarriaging because my horomone level was low. because i wasnt that far. so everything went great. i had a healty pregnancy and her due date was Jan. 6th 2008. which i had her Dec. 28th 2007. so all makes since that she would be her fathers baby(my boyfriend) but something keeps bothering me that maybe she is not his........... My boyfriend is a black male, (but is on the lighter side) he could pass for being biracial. but he isnt. So my baby would be biracial then. But she doesnt look like me. and looks white. but when she was first born looked like her dad by the features. but then just changed. and looks like an all white baby. straight hair and all.
SO... my question is... by the info. i have given is she my boyfriends baby? and if she is... is it possible that a biracial baby can look completely white!
I know a paternity test is the best way to know... but he loves her so much and i dont want to break his heart by telling him she might not be his... so please let me know your feedback.
My guess would be that its your boyfriends baby, BUT you will not know 100% without a paternity test. If it becomes that much of an issue to you then you may want to talk about getting the test done. I'm sure a biracial baby can look either way, its all on genetics. My son looks like me in face, but has his dad body. LOL, which I thought was great cause I'm prettier, but I've always been on the heavy side. Jacks got a lean muscular body. I'm pregnant gain with another baby, I'm wondering what this baby will look like!
From watching some TV Programs--they say sometimes it does take a while for a child's pigment to come in. Or your daughter may just be even lighter than her father and darken up over the years.
One other thing, I had my son in December five years ago--I know I got pg in mid March--I was due mid decemebr but then went over on my due date and had him late December--so if you were not due unitl January ) would say you did not conceive unitl April.
Is your bf aware that the baby could be from a different father? I think the fact that you did not know your bf when you had sex with this other guy should soften the blow a bit.
Biracial babies can have completely white skin or dark skin or a combination of both. Pigment is a weird thing. In fact, pigment can show up generations later, so I would not go on skin color alone to decide who the father is or even how much the baby looks like one person or another. And, hair type can vary too.
You are right that a paternity test would verify who was the father..but in getting this test it would be fair to let your bf know that there is a "change" the baby might not be his. However, a father is more than just who actually fathered the baby. If your bf has decided to become this baby's father, he can adopt your child and/or raise her just like his own.
Unfortunately, in a situation like yours, the only way to get some peace of mind for you will be that paternity test. And, who knows? If it does turn out to be your bf's baby that would make you very happy. And, if it doesn't, then the biological father should be held responsible for child support....
okay first for future reference you can get pregnant from precum do not forget that..second...your due date was jan 6th 08 but baby was born dec 28 07...your last period was in april the 5th when you found out you were pregnant april 28th...you are pregnant for a total of 40 weeks give or take and you last slept with that other guy end feb....i would definately say it is your current bf...if it were that other guy you would of been due beginning of december BUT the u/s was probably the one who made your due date be jan 6th 08 because according to your period it should of been around jan 11th 08 however if you ovulated earlier thats why...i personally do not see it being the other guys baby...the reason why she may not be showing much of a darker colour is probably because she is so small...congrats on your baby girl...
you asked if a "biracial baby can look completely white!" well im biracial..however so are both my parents, and funny enough so is my baby father. my father is very dark, however is mixed. my mom is mixed but is fairly light. i came out beyond pale. i looked nothing....NOTHING like my father. i was really white. but i was sporting a hudge baby afro. about a year after i was born, my mom said i changed. My skin got darker, my hair changed from black to brown, and my eyes changed as well. I look like my mothers child. im tall and thin like my dad but i dont look like him.
my babys daddy dad is black and his mom is white. he doesnt look like either "race" at least i think. it just depends on how you look at him. i thought he was white. my mom thought he was black. its just how you look at a person. he was dark when he was born and got lighter. it all depends.
as for if a baby can be mixed and look white. i would say yes. ive gotten asked, am i white? albino? black? spanish? ive gotten a buch of different questions.
i would say get a paternity test so you dont have to worry/guess anymore
based on your info provided, it could either go either way. i had conceived in March around the 14th, and was given an due date of Dec 19th. now these dates are just estimated. your jan due date could have been given based on you telling them your lmp was in april. of course there going to follow through with your original due date, and just say s/he came early, when if indeed you were already pregnant, s/he actually came on time. if april wasnt really a period, then had to have already been preggo. also, if it was a true period, and you conceived that month, you may have just had an early delivery, which is normal for that 2 week before, 2 week after time frame of delivering. its difficult to guess. dna testing at this point seems to be the only option. if you dont want to disclose this info with your bf, can you contact the other guy and test him instead?
as far as the complexions....... my cousin is very dark, and his wife is very, very, pale and they have 3 kids together. well, actually 2. his two boys are very light, but a lil more tan then her daughter. shes very pale like her mom, and has no tint of black in her. turns out, she had cheated, and we recently found out she wasnt his. i mean it was evident, but she actually confessed. now the boys have kind of curly hair, and could pass for hispanic. you definitely could tell they were biracial. again, this is just there experience, your could be different. besides, its on the early side at this point. the babies true color couldnt possibly be accurate at this point. i would wait it out for a while and see if things change. but a paternity test would really be my choice. good luck!
Well I am a biracial woman and to tell you the truth we come in all shades. Your baby is still too young to determine what she'll look like. From my experience dealing with this issue some mixed people do look all white or black. My brother is married to a white women and all 3 of his boys look white, but they get beautiful tans in the summer and never burn, so you see the only true way to know is by paternal testing. At this point is it really necessary, the baby is here and still needs a dad just as much as a mom. Good luck
I have biracial nieces and nephews and they all look white...my niece has very long straight hair and it is just like a caucasion but yes a child can look white when they are biracial
