PREGNANCY AND BLEEDING

Just wondering if I could be pregnant? I am late but started yesterday with pale pink blood and then dark brown blood like at the end of a period. I did not have to wear a pad or tampoon at all for the whole day. I never do that. Today when I got up I was bleeding more and have had to wear a pad. I have been dizzy for a while with nausea off and on during the days and nights for about three to four weeks now with fatigue. Just wondering if any of you out there have an answer for me. I hope I am pregnant but don't know if this is possible.

I BLED FOR TWO DAYS AROUND THE TIME OF MY PERIOD.  IT WAS OFF AND ON, MOSTLY OFF.  BLOOD WAS BROWN AND ENDED UP BEING IMPLANTATION BLEEDING.  I WAS PREGNANT AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT!

Thanks for commenting. After the first day of light bleeding I had the flow was heavy and RED. Is this what you had?

I have a similar situation but slightly different because I had miscarriage and D&C 28 days ago and thought this was 1st period.

Don't know if I could be but tests are negative.


Has anyone tested to see?

I have not tested yet. I wanted to see what other people were saying about my situation first before buying a test. I am bleeding fairly heavy today so I just don't know what to do.

I had light bleeding my 3rd week of pg (implantation bleeding).  Most days I did not need a pad at all, but there were a few days where I definitely needed a pantyliner.  The bleeding was usually pink or brown but I did have some bright red bleeding.  It lasted about 7 days.  I am now 10w2d pg and the baby looks to be doing very well.  Good luck and tons of baby dust.

Hello everyone!  I am so glad I found this site. I'm 24  I have been very worried.  I am 5 weeks and have been spotting for a week now.  I went to see the doctor last thurs and I was spotting very lite brown.  Now I am spotting dark brown.  I call and talked to a nurse and she said not to worry and call back if its still happening at the end of the week.  It is only spotting when I go to the bathroom but I'm still worried.  Has this happened to anyone else and do you think I'm ok?  Any help would be great!!

I DID BLEED BRIGHT RED THE SECOND DAY.  I THOUGHT IT WAS MY PERIOD SO I USED A TAMPON.  IT SOAKED PROBABLY HALF OF THE TAMPON.  THE NEXT DAY I TEST AND WAS PREGNANT.  I THINK IMPLANTATION BLEEDING IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE ITS NOT CONSTANT.  SOMETIMES YOU WILL WIPE AND HAVE NO BLOOD AT ALL.

Thanks. If you don't mind me asking, are you still pregnant? I guess I will take a preg test tomorrow and see I am still bleeding but I have used pads this time to see how much and I have used two thin ones since last night. Do you think I could be pregnant or just hopeful?

I don't think you should be too worried unless you have bright red bleeding and it gets heavier. Of course it never hurts to get it checked out - but try not to stress too much over it (I know that's hard not to do). Good luck - I hope everything turns out okay for you!

Thanks!  I will relax and see what happens.  Is it true that most pregs with twins will have lite spotting or bleeding. I saw that on another site but didn't know if it was true

OH GOSH, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT ABOUT TWINS.  IMPLANTATION BLEEDING MAY LAST ABOUT 3 DAYS.  IT IS ACTUALLY KIND OF UMM VIOLENT THE WAY THE FERTILIZED EGG IMPLANTS ITSELF.  IT HAS TO GET THROUGH LAYERS OF THE UTERUS AND SOME DO BLEED.  THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BLED FOR IMPLANTATION AND THIS IS MY 4TH PREGNANCY.  MOST PREGNANCIES THAT HAVE IMP BLEEDING TURN OUT FINE.  I DON'T THINK MINE WILL.  I WAS 88HCG ON SUNDAY AND 91 ON TUESDAY.  IT SHOULD HAVE DOUBLED.  I TEST AGAIN MONDAY TO SEE IF I AM STILL PREGNANT.

I don't know if the twin thing is ture or not.I will be VERY shocked if its true and I am going to have twins.  I was shocked I was preg.  My spotting is more than implantation bleeding because it is dark brown and has been going on for more than 3 days. what do you think it could be?

I went and had 6!!!  tubes of blood taken yesterday.  I am still waiting for the doctor to get the results.  How long does that take? I know he would call as soon as he found out there was a problem. On most sites it says its pretty common but I don't know what to believe.

WELL I THINK PROGESTERONE LEVELS TAKE 48 HOURS BUT I GOT MY HCG LEVELS BOTH TIMES TWO HOURS AFTER I TOOK THE TEST. I WENT TO AN LAB OUTSIDE OF MY DOCTORS OFFICE. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO CONTINUE CALLING THEM TO GET THE RESULTS.  MY DOCTOR'S RESPONSE IS VERY QUICK. DID YOU ASK THE LAB HOW LONG THE TEST WOULD TAKE, IT MAY BE THAT YOUR DOCTOR HAS NOT REC'D THE TESTS BACK YET.  YOUR BLEEDING COULD ALSO BE DECIDUAL BLEEDING.  NOT A FULL PERIOD, BUT ITS CAUSED BY OUT OF WHACK HORMONES.  IT IS HARMLESS IF THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING.  YOU NEED THOSE NUMBERS FROM YOUR DOC.  I CALL MINE AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY THROUGH THE ANSWERING SERVICE.  I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM BOTHERING THEM.

Thanks!  I will call the doc first thing in the morning.  I did start spotting a few days after I should have started my period.  I hope thats all it is.  Do you know who is as the highest risk for early preg m/c?

THERES A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO ARE AT A HIGHER RISK FOR EARLY MISCARRIAGE, HISTORY OF PREVIOUS MISCARRIAGES, SMOKERS, CAFFEINE INTAKE OF MORE THAN TWO CUPS/DAY, ETC.  USUALLY THEY NEVER REALLY FIND OUT THE REAL REASON SOMEONE MISCARRIED.

I just got off the phone with the nurse.  She said not to worry if its just spotting.  The doc looked at my blood test and it looked fine.  He wants me to go back for a second one on monday and moved my appointment to wen. morning.  I feel a little better but not great. It will be a long next week :(

I am 8 weeks pregnant and started 'bleeding' yesterday.  It is not bright red.  It is really dark brown. Sometimes it is there when I wipe and somtimes not.  Last night I had a really sore, crampy tummy and had dioherrea a couple of times.  
I am really scared that I am having a miscarriage.  I can't sleep so I am so tired and just don't feel like eating.  I have a 2 year old so she is keeping me on my toes.

Well I hope everyone else's pregnancies turn out good my unfortutnetly didnt.  I had an early miscarriage. today I got my bloodwork and well they confirmed I had a Chemical pregnancy.  in other words an early miscarriage.  Good thing is the doctor said I am ready to try again, this cycle. So I have alot of work to do :)

I was around four days late and then when I peed and wiped (on 4th day late) and there was slight bleeding, it was pinkish in color and a little snotty (Gross. I KNOW) That lasted for about four days and just stopped, I have taken test, both in between the four bleeding days and they were negative, however, I tested every week for five weeks with my now 5 year old son and the first four were negative and the one that was positive indicated by an hcG test at my OBGYN that I was approx. 5 1/2 weeks pregnant.  I want this soo bad, I have endometriosis and have suffered in pain for years so I could have another baby,  Thanks and God Bless everyone.

I am 10 weeks pregnant and Monday at 2am i woke up in a pool of blood. I stood up and it wouldnt stop. I have never seen so much blood in my life. I rushed to the hospital, only to lay there until 7am when they did an ultrasound. They said everything looked fine with the baby. But they also said my cervix was open. Does anyone know what this means. I thought for sure i had a miscarriage. I was passing clots and tissue.. I dont understand.

i am 22 and this is my 1st pregnancy i am 10weeks and started spotting on the 19th and it got worst on the 22 i started bleeding heavy and passing blood clots th size of a green olive i went to the hospital and they said my cervix is closed but i am bleeding through it. i dont understand whats happening i was sure that i had a misscarge because when they did the ultrasound they didnt hear the heart beat.but they couldnt really tell me any thing the doctors just told me to come back on weds morning i am so scared.
