PROGESTERONE

by hopeintexas, Jan 01, 2005 12:00AM
I am about 6 weeks pregnant. At 5 weeks we went for an u/s and saw a yolk sac. My progesterone levels were 9 and my doctor started me on progesterone supplements. My hcg level was 8900. He said that was good and scheduled an u/s for next Wednesday. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and know in my heart that the reason I did was because of progesterone levels. If I have a blighted ovum now would I still have all the symptoms of pregnancy?

Having just gone through two blighted ovum miscarriages, I can tell you that - Yes, you could still have all the symptoms of pregnancy.  HOWEVER, you say they saw I yolk sac - YEAH!!!  That is REALLY good news!  I read on one website that there is NO way to have a blighted ovum if they have seen a yolk sac (never saw any with my blighted ovums).  I would take that as a comforting sign and be happy.  I pray that all will go well for you.  Good luck.
