by Kim1989, Jan 18, 2008 02:32PM
i am in so much pain. There is not one part on me that doenst hurt. All my muscles hurt. I feel like crying. I took tylenol hopeing that would work, took a nap and woke up feeling worse than i did to begin with. I havent been doing anything, but i need to. Theres so much i still have to do. Im tryin to take it easy, taking warm baths, and taking a tylenol. BUT NOTHING IS HELPING. im 18 years old, and feel like im pushin 90. Getting outta bed hurts. i feel like i have the flu but minus being sick. my thigs, pleivs, neck, legs, back, sholders, and arms hurt.

what have you done to help with muscle pains and aches?

How far are you?  I'm having all of that too, but it's just a part of pregnancy.  I take Tylenol PM at night to help sleep, but it's gotten to where that doesn't even work anymore.  Sorry I'm not much help, but just wanted you to know you're not alone.  I'm getting ready to crawl back in bed now as we speak.

I'm on bedrest at 20 wks with twins and it's getting worse. It stinks so much to be on bedrest, because I had just started walking every day and it was really helping all my sore muscles and joints. But now, I lay down all day and night. My hips kill me, as well as my back, legs, everything. I don't take anything, but I have a great electric heating pad that I use a lot. It actually helps me a lot.

ill be 35 weeks on sunday. its like i feel as tho ive tried everything. and im falling apart, because im trying to get everything done and i cant do it because its so painful to move. theres so much i have to do. so much. my moms working on the babys room (doors, flooring, putting together the crib) but im doing, or trying to do everything else that needs to be done. and i want to get it done and then rest before the birth. i dont want to  be so sore, not able to do everything and then wait until the last min to do everything. ugh!

hi. I remember before having my son 5 months ago that it was terrible before giving birth. I felt excatly how you describe you are feeling. The good news is that your almost there and trust me after you give birth the pain does go away. And seeing your little ones face makes it all worth it! Just try to do things at a slow pace and try not to stress about it, like i said your almost there! Congrats to you, motherhood is amazing.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well.  At about 35 weeks is when I started swelling badly in my feet and ankles.  I have hard wood and stained concrete floors and just walking around the house nearly killed me, I swear!  I would try to gingerly step around the house, and that ended up hurting my legs because I was using different muscles.  Add to it the fact that I was having a hard time sleeping at night.  Lack of sleep, swelling, the sheer exhaustion of carrying around that extra weight...it all puts a strain on you.  In my experience, what you are describing is fairly typical for the last few weeks.  But that's the good news...the end is in sight!  Try not to stress over what is or isn't done for the baby.  The baby won't care!  Rest when you can, put your feet up!

thanks ladies for the comfort n feeling im not alone! glad im not.  yeah the good part is the end is in sight. THANKFULLY! ill be glad when hes here. but im really really scared about that too. my biggest fear when it comes to labor is like me missing it. cuz i kno when you water breaks you have to go to the hospital, but if its contractions, im worried ill think their BH contractions and ill wait untill i figure it out and then i wont be able to get the Epidoral (sp?). i have heard that when u go into labor...YOU KNOW. so i hope i do know.

I am 36 weeks pregnant and notice that if I do too much I will hurt too.  I know it is natural for you to want to do all that you are doing (nesting) but I think your body is telling you that youre doing too much!! Take it easy.

Tylenol for aches and pains, warm soothing baths etc etc.

Don't worry about missing labor.  You'll know.  Believe me, you'll know.

Yes you have come a long long way! You are just a week behind me and I remember when you started on this board. ;)  WEll this morning in while grocery shopping in Walmart, I felt a sharp jab in my va-jayjay area and it felt like the baby dropped. Now it is soooo uncomforable to walk, sit down, etc  I NEVER had that with my 2 girls. I am scared my little guy will be coming soon.  Hang in there Kim, it'll be here before we know it and we'll be prayin for sleep..lol

by Kim1989, Jan 19, 2008 02:19PM
wow i didnt kno it was painful when babys drop. i heard it was pressure but at the same time good because you can breath again. ah SLEEP! yeah havent goten that in awhile. cant seem to sleep at all thru the night. either peeing, the dog barking, my mom laying down the babys flooring, or noisy neighboors.

Is anybody else having bad pains in the shoulder areas?  When I'm trying to sleep (yes trying, doesn't really happen too good) - I get woken up with sharp pains in the should area of the side I"m sleeping on.  I have to roll over only to get woken up again when that shoulder starts hurting.  Any suggestions?
