Hello
I have a 2 month old baby, he is nursing very well. What I am wondering is what is the occasional stinging sensation I feel in tip of my nipples. It happens about two or three times a day, but not while the baby is eating. It comes on very strong and only lasts about a minute. It hurts and I don't know what it is, can you help me?
Thank you
Perhaps you're breasts are becoming engorged between feedings? The longer you breastfeed, the more milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal your body will make, and therefore you may be feeling the discomfort of boobs that are getting too full. How often are you feeding? If you're going for longer stretches between feedings, then you may want to try using a breast pump if you aren't doing so already.
I can't think of anything else it could be. If your boobs feel full and "hard" during that time, then that's probably what it is.
Sorry if this isn't much help...
