Painting while preggo?

I know I should probably just ask my doctor but I wanted to see what everyone else thought.  Is it safe to paint while preggo??  My DH and I have been fixing up our house some and would like to paint a couple of the rooms.  Is this ok?  Has anyone painted while preggo??

I did help DH paint a little ealry on.  Just buy latex paint and make sure windows are open and take breaks frequently.  We are getting ready to paint the nursery and there's no way in hell I am going to miss it.  Although, DH won't let me strip off the boarder with him because of the fume.  BTW, we used Behr and there's hardly any smell to it.

I painted in my 7th month--it is fine.  Just make sure you take breaks and make sure you have the room well ventilated.  Heck I am in my 9th month now and am stripping wallpaper from the walls ( I am trying to kill time)LOL

I painted this pregnancy in the very beginning.  Like everyone else said make sure it is well ventilated.

My sister painted her entire house during her pregnancy and her baby was just fine.

A friend of mine paints for a living.  Her Dr. told her that it was fine to do while pg as long as she takes breaks often and keeps windows and doors open.  I think as long as you're not overdoing it and taking necessary precautions, you should be fine.

Thanks.  I thought it would be ok but I just wanted some other opinions due to some people I work with say its not good to do.  I will get my dr.'s opinion on this too.

I have the worst neck and backache possible today.  I have no idea what happened.  Other than that I am anxiously waiting three weeks to be here.  How about you?

Im ok.  I know I wish Sept.6 was here.  That is my next dr. appt.  Then I will find out when I go for my next u/s.  I cant wait to see my little peanut again.  My geadaches are more or less subsided.  Thank goodness!!  Now all I have to do is get off this Prometrium and I will be happy.  I need to ask for sure when I stop taking it.  I hope just one more week and then I will be done.

It is fine to paint. Just take breaks & make sure the windows are all open! Well I am 13 weeks FINALLY! Sept will be here b4 we know it. I am sending DD to preschool she starts sept 12th. She is so excited but I am a wreck! This is one of those times when being a stay at home Mom stinks. It is only 2 days 2 1/2 hrs a day but she is always with me , DH or a  family member. I will cry my eyes out!

fine to paint.  did it with my first and am now with my second.  just keep ventilated as the others said.

i paint for a living, and my dr said as long as the room is open and take brakes when i need them, dont get overheated, and wear a dust mask.
