Period, Implantation Spotting or Miscarriage

Period, Implantation Spotting or Miscarriage

I started spotting at 8 dpo. It started off pink and sparce, only appearing when I wipe. Today (one day later) it is heavier (enough for a panty liner or 2) and there have been 2 tiny clots in it. I do not expect my period until 7 to 9 days from now. I felt a weird sensation in my loser abdomen yesterday, and there is no cramping. I have a headache and I am tired. I have no idea what is going on. Am I pregnant and experiencing implantation bleeding? Am I having a miscarriage? Or am I just getting my period really early? Can Anyone shed some light on my situation?

What does implantation bleeding look like?

Implantation bleeding is vaginal discharge which usually contains a small amount of pinkish or brownish blood. Only about a third of pregnant women experience implantation bleeding.

When does implantation bleeding usually occur?

It can happen at the time the fertilized egg implants in the uterus, on average between 6 to 12 days past ovulation.

Should I worry about implantation bleeding occurring?

Unless accompanied by cramping, backache or increased bleeding, a small amount of blood being discharged should be considered as implantation bleeding which is nothing to be concerned about.

If this is implantation bleeding, when can I test to see if I am pregnant?

Home pregnancy tests are based on a very simple principle. They work by through the detection of the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) in a woman's urine. This hormone is a hormone secreted by the developing placenta shortly after a fertilized egg has been implanted in the uterine lining.

If a woman is pregnant, the amount of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) in her system should be around 25 mIU at 10 dpo (days past ovulation), 50 mIU at 12 dpo, 100 mIU at around two weeks dpo. Because of their high sensitivity factor ( 20 mIU/ml hCG ) in detecting human hCG, both the AimStick pregnancy tests can confirm pregnancy as early as 6-8 days past ovulation. To help lower the chances of a false negative, the best time to test at 9 or 10 days past ovulation would be advisable.

Thank you for your comment. I am concerned because the bleeding is increasing and I really hope I didn't do anything to cause a miscarriage. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
Thanks again.

I would say it more than likely af showing her face  alittle early this month. I would doubt its a mc bc most of the time you can tell with the pain you have. A lot of things can cause an early period. Are you possitve of O day?

Then if you have implantation bleeding, (16th-18 august) then would you already have hgc enough to show pregnant? in bloodtest on the 21st? because i had bleeding 3 days before test, and im not sure weather would show positive just after 3days???

and i have had no other bleeding or signs of periods, but don't understand if after implant bleeding do you still have enough HCG TO SHOW POSITIVE IN TEST???
