Hi all! I had my copper IUD removed mid March. My period was 9 days late, then started really light, the same way they were before I had an IUD. On the IUD they were very heavy, and usually lasted around 4 days. Now, I had 3 days of light bleeding, and then yesterday it got really heavy and painfulPainful menstrual periods. And it is the same today, with no sign of letting up.
I can't take the pain or pmsPremenstrual syndrome Relieving pms anymore! And my tummy has been so swollenSwollen glands for almost 2 weeks now, I'm so uncomfortable! Has anyone else experienced this? I've only heard about people that may be late, or have a light period. Not this nightmare!
The IUD removal shouldn't affect your cycles at all, since this is a non hormonal IUD. Any chance you could have been pregnant or could be pregnant? I would almost suspect an early miscarriage. Have you taken a test?
