Period after a D

Hi!! I want to know when Im expecting my period after a D & C, saddly I had a miscarriage on September 29, and I dont know when I will have it...

Everyone is different.  My doctor told me usually between 4-6 weeks.  I had a D&C in March and my period arrived exactly 5 weeks after the procedure.  Good luck!

I had a D&C on Sept. 21 after discovering at my 11-week appointment that our baby had died at 8 weeks. My hormone levels have been steadily dropping, but they were still at 44 as of last Thursday. Surprisingly, my period started two days ago (4.5 weeks after the D&C). I always thought that ovulation *had* to precede a period, but I did some more reading on it today and discovered that that's not always true. It is possible to have a period w/out ovulation, and that's what seems to be happening to me (since, technically, you can't ovulate until your hCG levels return to zero). I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that normal ovulation will resume *after* this period and that we can start trying to conceive again soon. Good luck, and I'm so sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your losses. I actually had a d&c on Sep 20th. It is so weird for me, because usually I have long cycles, like 30-35 days. However, after the d&c I bled for 10 days, then nothing for 2 weeks. THEN I got af only 24 days after the d&c. I expected mine to take forever. So I think everyone is sooo different. Also, I've now had af for 14 days...It's a long steady one, much different than normal. It's been light but long and annoying. How long do you girls plan to wait to ttc? I think I will this cycle, but I'm nervous.

I had a D&C in July and it took over 13 weeks for AF to start, and then it lasted over a week (from spotting to spotting), just hang in there it will show up:) and then you will want it gone in just a few says :) I was so excited to get it, but 2 days after it really started I had had enough, and wanted it to stop :)

I am so sorry about your loss. I too had a d&c on 9/19 and joyfully got af today...exactly 5 weeks later! I agree that everyone seems to be different on that. My Dr told me to wait 2 cycles to ttc again, but seems like a long time to me. I'm not really sure what I will do...
I am having my fsh, etc levels checked on Thurs to see where my fertility level is at, and then I'll talk to Dr again about ttc.

Sorry for your losses.  I had a d&c done on 9/2 and got my af on 10/9.  I haven't been using any protection since my af, so we'll see what happens.  I was told by one dr. to wait until 2 af's and by another that it was ok to ttc right away.  I'm 40 years old and don't have any kids so don't want to wait too long to ttc.

I had a stillbirth on Jan 29th and then a D and C on Feb 9th.  I bled for 2 weeks, until Feb 23rd and nothing for a week.  Then March 2nd I started bleeding again.  I am wondering if this is my period or just still a product of the D and C.   I am wanting to conceive again asap.
