Periods after miscarriage?

Hi.  I found out I had m/c on April 26.  Had to have a d&c on May 3 because my body had not m/c on its own.  I was 13w and the baby was 8w 4d.  My last normal period was in 01/06.  It has been five months since the d&c and I have had one period that was forced by prometrium.  I have just finished another round of prometrium and will see my dr on the 25.  Is this normal to have to take this medicine to induce af?  Is anyone else experiencing this?  My dr's triage nurse just keeps telling me to wait another week, but we are wanting to ttc and I have only had 1 af since the d&c and that was forced.  Any info would be greatly appreicated.

The thing I have found out, is that everyone is different. I have gne almost 13 weeks post D&C with no period yet, waiting for results from blood work to see where my hormone levels are at. My sister had a m/c a few years ago and told me that she went 9 months with no AF after it, and then had to take something to "jumpstart" her cycle. I find that the DR's always say "wait a week or two" to see what happens. Maybe ask your dr if there is any thing else that you could take that is different?

I had a d&c on 9/19. When I went for my follow up appt, he told me that if I hadn't had af by Nov. 4, to call him. I would be really concerned if I went longer than that without af!
