Personal question

Hello everyone.  I have a somewhat personal odd question.  I have spoken to my doctor about this, and she said it is normal, but i wanted to hear from anyone else.  My husband and I are trying to concieve (conceive) after a recent MC.  I feel silly asking this but after we have intercourse, some of his sperm drips out.  I am trying not to get up right away, but sometimes even if I wait, it comes out later on.  Weird?  I guess when you are trying to have a baby and nothing is happening, you tend to look at all the details, so i just was wondering if this happens to anyone else.  Thanks so much

Yes - definitely happens.  Every time.  What we did, and I'm sure you've done this when TTC is to prop pillows under your butt to elevate your uterus after BDing.  I'd stay there for 10-20 minutes propped like that.  For us, we conceived w/in 2 mos - very lucky we were.  I was faithfully doing this, though.  Maybe something to try!

it does happen, you can try lying still for 30 minutes to an hour after with your hips tilted up, like put you legs up on pillows or put pillows under your bottom, or even prop your legs up against the wall.

good luck

Staying in bed for a short while can help, but generally what comes out is the excess, so to speak. By the time you get up, even if it is right after, the swimmers have already started the race.

i have heard not to worry about that, that it's mostly only seminal fluid that is dripping out, and not all the sperm.  once the sperm gets into the uterus, it doesn't come drip back out.

the missionary position gets the sperm the closest to the cervix, which shortens the trip for the little swimmers, and lessen the chance that they are falling out.  after my dh and i bd, i lay with a pillow under my hips for about 20 minutes.

also, this may be TMI, but if you climax after your husband, your cervix sort of acts like a suction and pulls more semen through your cervix and into your uterus.

Try to make sure you pee first.....then after sex just go right ot sleep...give those spermies time to find the eggie.
You will always have a little that leaks out later. No biggie.

It happens to everybody - its gravity.  Try to stay laying down as long as possible.  The spermies that need to get to where they are going are still swimming when all their brothers and sisters are coming out.  :)

I would just go to sleep as hard as it was without going to the bathroom or anything then as soon as I woke up - it still came out and I got pregnant on the first month of trying.

Yeah, what goes up must come down, and what goes in must come out, LOL:) Work with gravity and lie still after intercourse with a pillow under your hips. I did a lot of times after sex too, and I was PG by the 4th cycle

As stupid as I must have looked.....I slid around and put my feet up on the headboard to keep the little guys in there! :)

Yeah it's normal, try to put your hips up on a pillow and elevated for about 20 minutes after having sex with your hubby, sometimes that helps the sperm move their way up.  But it will come out eventually, just gravity.
