Hey girl, long time no talk. I started to give Gavin the bottle when he was around 5-6 weeks, DH fed it to him and he took it. He will take it from anybody even me so I don't have any good advise. Maybe try to feed her when she is not terribly hungry but almost time to eat? How old is your baby now? You can also practice with a bit of water so you don't waste too much of your breast milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal. Other than that, how's eveything going? My parents got here a month ago and they have been taking good care of Gavin!
Me2mommy, I take Frnugreek, Mother's tea and Red Raspberry tea. I take the pills a couple hours before I'd nurse of pump then I would drink the tea throughout the day, esp. right before and during my pumping and nursing sections. I find that warm fluid help to relax me. Hope it helps!

Hey girl, sorry it took me so long, but I am at work today and it has been crazy so I had to wait for MedHelp to email me my password since I now have it set up at home and could not remember it.
Anyway, I come on here if possible once a day, but unless I see you, AnnieBrook, Harley or Me2mommy, Decorgirl and a few of the other girls, I do not know much of the other once.
Anyway, Veronika is 8 weeks and we are lucky, we started putting her into her crib on Saturday (the crib is in our bedroom) and she took it no problem! She sleeps anywhere from 3.5-5 hours during the night, but she has nights (luckly very few, but lets not jinx it) that she does not sleep more then 2 hours at a time, so no schedule there. I just feed her and then put her in her crib and she sleeps. I actually canceled my skiing trip, (was taking my older DD to Park City) just so I do not ruing her sleeping habits in the crib!
During the day, she prefers to sleep in the car set or in the stroller. Now and then she will fall a sleep in the bouncer or swing.
Other then that, if we can get her to take the bottle, we will be very happy and I will be able to work out more and therefore loose my weight faster. But no complains. Love her to deathDiscussing death with children Gangrene Liver cell death Loss of a child - resources Sudden infant death syndrome and still can not believe that she is here with us after all the surgeries etc.
I have a website, so if you want to see the latest pix of here, here it is.
OMG, she is too cute! I love your albums! I am glad everything is going well for you! Are youback to work already? I took 8 weeks off as well and it's so hard to come back. You'll have to go on Yahoo to see Gavin!
Gavin still sleeps in his bassinet in our room. It's so hard to let him go. I will have to once he reached 15 lbs or when he starts to turn over :-(
How's nursing going after you returned to work?
Ohhhh! Veronika is soo cute! BTY...where are you from? ...Veronika and Julia are names of some of my great-great aunts who were Ruthenians (Lived in southern Poland) My great-grandmother was Parascevia (have you heard of that name? I heard it is not commonCommon cold anymore)
Dolly, I am not at work full time yet. I have never stop working, I work from home and go to the office 2-3 time a week to do nessesary work. My co-worker went full time grad school, so I am the only computer person there, so I had to do this. In return, he will be with me at work for the whole year, so that is nice. I am returning to work full-time around march 5th, so I am not looking forward that! The sleep is going to be hard!
Girls, I have a meeting in two minutes, but I'll be back!

PS: What happened to Harley???
PS2: here is my email just in cause you ever want to get in touch.
LOL...oops, pressed the button a little too early. Anywho, as i was saying, I"m praying that it works for me. I'm so upset that I'm losing my milk supply. It's actually depressing me :(:( Let's see how well it works out for me. By the way, i've read that some ppl can have an allergic reaction to fenugreek, ever heard that?
No I haven't heard that, it hasn't bothered me yet. Well, don't expect your milk supply to increase dramatically b/c mine didn't. It helps but I am still struggling. Sometimes, I feel like the more I am worry about it the less I produce.....I don't know, trying your best is all you can do! If mine doesn't get more, maybe I will call the doc. I also hear that if your baby is content then your supply is ok. I think I worry because I pump more than I nurse during the work week and when I see ounces, it stresses me out more. On the weekend, I nurse on demand and he is fed whenever he wants.
Sorry for babbling but I just have to get it off.
Hey, Harley is still around but not as much. I just talked to her a few days ago on Yahoo and she posted a pic of Quinn and she is so cute!
Well, it's VERY hard to nurse and work full time. I was so stressed out at the beginning, I cried every day. It does get better but I think my milk supply is decreasing...
Anyhoo, write back when you get time!
I'm going through the same...Eh, oh well, not much I can do if I'm not producing enough. There is only so many things I can try. By the way, this is the article I found on kellymom.com:
http://kellymom.com/herbal/milksupply/fenugreek.html
I think this is what I've heard that if you're hypoglycemic, have asthma, etc, you should not take it.
I tried everything under the sun...fenugreek, tea, pumping around the clock, brewer's yeast...my supply just stopped altogether. I truly believe it was stress related. I stressed out over everything being my first child and all, plus Ameera never latched on properly and has such a short temper and wants food IMMEDIATELY. I was so disappointed that I had to quit after only 2 months. Whether or not you are able to continue, you should pat yourselves on the back for nursing that long...you are doing your best and that is all you can do. Do not feel like you are a failure if your supply stops and you can no longer nurse. A lot of folks made me feel like **** for it but you need to do what's best for you and your little peanut. Hope something works for y'all!
Just to let you know that nursing is the most important for the first 2 months when your baby gets all the important antibodies etc. I read this article where it listed the steps, (2 months-antibodies, 6 months-comfort etc) but can not remember them all. Basically nursing past 6 months does absolutely nothing for your baby from the health point. I do not have LOTS of milk, but I never had so much with the first one anyway and breast fed her till 13 months. I am hoping to get to 6 months with this one and will not stress about it at all! If I can go longer-great. If not-not a big deal!

first of all Decorgirl, I am Chzech, so that is why the Czech names. I wanted to make it easier on my family, plus my older DD is bilingual, so she knows how to say it in both languages and I am planning to do the same with Veronika.
