Please Help Me - Is there any hope? Please respond...

I was wondering if some of you could help me.  I need to know if anyone had any luck.

I had another miscarriage on Friday.  This is my third one within a year.  They are going to test this one to see if it's chromosome, which they believe it will be because the other one was.  I just turned 39 and I was wondering if there are woman out there that have have 3 or more miscarriages and went onto having a full term pregnancy???  Do you think I should just give up?  I have a 13 year old daughter.  Me and my DH have been test for chromosomes and everything was fine.  They are telling me I'm just having bad luck.  All of my three miscarriage stopped growing around the 6 week mark.  This one was the hardest because I saw a heartbeat at 6w6d and went for my 8w5d checkup and they didn't see a heartbeat.  I was so upset and so was my DH.  Please tell me if I should give up, but I don't want to let this beat me, is there still hope?

Also, has anyone every heard of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis?

I just wanted to tell you DON'T GIVE UP!  I know how painful it is to go through all of this.  I am only 24, but I've recently had two miscarriages.  It was really hard for my husband and I, but now were seeing this great fertility specialist.  He diagnosed me with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.  Since then he's put me on 1000mg of metformin and 50mg of clomid.  We are starting hcg injections and progesterone next Monday.  At that time we will be testing for ovulation so we can do the IUI procedure.  Have you tried invitro?  I will pray for you, just don't give up.  I know it's stressful, but just stay positive.  Good Luck!

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I had 3 m/c last year between Mar-Sept....7 months of pure hell.

I'm so so sorry...

I do have a 2yr old daughter and everything was perfect in that pregnancy and birth....no problems with conception....just can't hold the baby.

With my last m/c it was by d&e and they tested the baby...all chromosomes were fine....

I did test positive for a blood clotting disorder so that may be it for me....my baby is getting blood supply and nourishment from my body.

Make sure your dr tests for all the blood clotting disordes...I haven't made it past 8 weeks with any of my losses.

I'm so sorry...if you proceed with the testing, perhaps that will help your decision whether or not to try again.  You'll know in your heart what is right when the time comes.

I am 36 years old and currently 35 weeks pregnant.  I had three miscarriages at various stages of pregnancy over the last year.  I got pregnant 3 months after each miscarriage so I guess I've been pretty much pregnant for the last couple of years.  They did test after each miscarriage and all were because of different reasons.  They also tested me for several disorders.  That was a miserable test because they took so much blood and they had to do it twice (14 vials each time)!  We were not going to try for a 4th time because of my age and the last pregnancy was further along.  The baby had Down's Syndrome.  She died around 14 weeks.  I really really wanted another baby so I convinced my husband that I was already a mental wreck and another miscarriage wouldn't change me much (not very clear thinking really but at that point, not much was clear).  This time I'm doing very well.  I'm expecting a boy March 1st but we're guessing he'll be here sooner.  He's measuring about 3 weeks big and is doing very well.

I'm sorry for all of your losses.  I hope, if you try again, that you have a very successful pregnancy.

Well I was told from my doctor that beings the tissue they are testing is coming back a Chromosome problem that it supersees (sp?) any other test.  Well I just just reading about PGC Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Tesing and it test the embro for Chromosome problem before they do IVF.  That may be my next option.

No I'm not seeing a specialist yet.  Getting pregnant is the easy part for me so I'm not so sure why seeing a specialist would be any different.  Is there any?

Yes, I would so see a specialist, you may have a very easy problem to fix, like a luteul phase defect or a clotting disorder.

So sorry fr your losses.

ARe you seeing a specialist?  I think it is time for you to get some answers as to why you are having repeated mc.

I am sure that you have heard that women over 35 have a higher rate of earlier mc.  Our eggs are older and have a higher rate of abnomality.  That does not mean you cannot carry a baby to term.

I am 40, had two mc last year and am currently 9w6d.  I had given up and this pregnancy is a surprise, didn't know until I was 7w6d.

So take heart.  Chances are you will have a baby in the next year.

Yes I have taken baby asprin as well.  I'm now looking into IVF and PGD, PGD is where they test the embro to check for chromosome problems and then they only insert the eggs back into the uterus that a good eggs.  Pretty pricey though, but my husband has really good insurance.
