My husband and I always have a hard time getting pregnant. We have been pregnant 3 times each time ending w/ a miscarriage. We were of course devastated each time. The babies passed away around 8 wks along. I don't expel the baby, and I have to have a DNC. Someone said it's called a "mismiscarriage". We hope to try again within in the next year. It will be 2 years since our last m/c. They did so many test to me to figure out what's going on. Every test comes back saying that I'm "perfectPerfect choice" and should be able to have a healthy pregnancy. The only thing I can see that comes back is the fact that I am 0 neg blood type. So I have got the rhogamRhogam Rhogam ultra-filtered plus shot each time. My doctor says that wouldn't cause the miscarriage; the RhRh incompatibilityfactorFactor ix complex don't start affecting the pregnancy until the 28th week. But I have a friend that says her doctor said she needs the rhogam asap. Maybe even before she gets pregnant. My question is: Is there any way that my body has developed so many antibodies that it detects the baby almost as soon as I get pregnant and attacks the baby sooner than most women w/ 0 neg blood type? Do you think this may have caused my babies heart from continuing to develop? That seems to be what happens the; heart stops beating. Please help me.
You cannot develope anitbodies until you are actually pregnant. Rhogam is not indicated prior to conception. You get it at 28 weeks, upon delivery of a + baby and early in pregnancy if you have bleeding.
It is possible that you could have been pregnant without knowing and had a miscarriage. If this happned and you didn't receive the rhogam shot it can affect future pregnancies. I am rh- and had a lot of complications with my last pregnancy.
I am rh- as well and have three kids.
