I stopped taking bcp after 11 years in April of this year ttc. I had my bc period 4/28/06. Due to a feeling I had I took an ovulation test last week (6/27/06)& it came back positive. I don't know if I took the hpt early (which read negative) b/c I haven't had a period since 4/28/06. Again curious I did another ovulation test (7/8/06) and it was positive. Could I have ovulated and just done the hpt too early or are there still bc hormones in my system (72 days later) that are messing with the ovulation tests? Please help?
It looks from what you wrote that you think if your ovulation results come up positive, your pregnancy test results should too. Am I reading your post wrong? There is no connection with getting a positive on an ovulation measuring kit and being pregnant, except of course that you do need to ovulate at some point in order to get pregnant at a subsequent point (LOL).
