Possibly Pregant? Help!

Possibly Pregant? Help!

I have always had a VERY regular period where the most I would ever differ would be by a day or two.  My normal cycle is once a month and about five days long.  This month around the 3rd I got my period as normal, but it only lasted two days and was over before teh 5th.  Then the 15th I started bleeding again almost as though I am having another period, this irregular "period" ended this mornign with very thin bright red blood.  This has never happened before and I was wondering if anyone had any reasons for this to be happening because I am at a loss.  However, I have been reading about implantation bleeding... could this be what is happening?

That would be an unusual amount of bleeding for implantation bleeding.  Have you also been reading up about ovarian cysts?  They can sometimes make your period odd.

I;m talking about the kind of ovarian cyst that can arise any month, the liquid that fills the spot where the egg came out.  Google it and see if it matches what you are feeling.  These can happen any time, and make your period (as my doctor puts it) "odd" the next month.

I agree with Brooke! I have a lot of trouble with cysts and this has caused me to be late and/or irregular. They can do an ultrasound to look for a cyst one day and see nothing and literally, the next day one can pop up. Really, I've been there!

Okay. Well I am back to bleeding again, but it is not like a period anymore today and yesterday it has been very light and constant all day long.  I googled ovarian cysts, and the only symptoms that I have similar would be this irregular "period".

So there is no chance that I can be pregnant then right?

Honey, oddly timed bleeding does not mean either yes or no on pregnancy or on miscarriage either.  To be sure, all you can do is test, either with a home pregnancy test or a blood test at the doctor's.

Thank You.  Do you think I should test now or should I wait until it would be the regular time of the normal period?    Or to u think that  Iwould get a positive reading right now if I did happen to be pregnant?

I'd test two or three weeks after the last unprotected sex, using an early-results test.

So I missed my period this month, and stil have gotten a negative result on a hpt.  Any other guesses?  (I can't afford to go into the doctor right now due to a buld up of medical bills, so I'm trying to avoid it at all costs.)

zippy, the only guesses that matter are your doctor's guesses.  It could be nothing or could be something serious.  If you simply cannot afford to go to a doctor, you should be using protection, so you at least won't have to worry about pregnancy on top of everything else, but you really should see what is going on that gives you the irregular periods within a couple or three months, as you could be messing with your health.

Well, since you asked for more guesses, here's mine.

I guess you aren't pregnant.
