Possibly Pregnant

Possibly Pregnant

Me and my husband have been useing the withdrawal method for about 3 months now. This month I have been feeling weird. I'm 26 and have a 13 month old DS. Here are the things that I have been experiencing. Hot flashes at night, Nausea, Cramps, Bloating,. One night I got up to pee twice without drinking a lot before bed. The other strange thing is that my husband said that my nipples have a sweet taste (Sorry TMI). This is weird because the only other times that he has said that is when I was pregnant with my son and right after I had stopped breastfeeding. I know that some of these symptoms could definitley be PMS but the hot flashes and nipple thing I just thought were strange. My period isn't supposed to be here until Dec. 24th, so I can't test yet. Is there a good possibility that I might be pregnant in your opinion? Thanks

Yes, you could be pregnant..the withdrawal method is not really a "method" many women become pg like this. you could be! you'll just have to wait and see if you miss a period and then test!.
I don't know much about the symptoms since every women is different with those..I know when I found out I was pg I had no symptoms whatsoever...my usual pms symptoms dissapeared and that's how I knew something wasn't normal.
Good luck! =)

I thought the withdrawal method was like 80% effective...and that 20% difference is due to people who forget to pull out/pull out too late.  Is this wrong?

That is correct.  While it's only the next best thing to doing nothing at all to prevent pg, it's still has a fairly decent success rate if you do it right.

Hi there,
You're having unprotected sex so yes, there's a chance you could be pg.  How big/small that chance is is anyone's guess.

The sweet nipples thing is not a sign of pg though, as far as I know.

it is 80% effective, and the only reason why women become pg is not only because the guy forgets to pull out but also from pre ***.
withdrawal is not really a method..it is unprotected sex. so therefore there is chance of pregnancy.

Precum isn't really an issue unless the man has not urinated since his last ejaculation.

Withdrawal method, if done correctly...peeing after sex or before sex...pulling out before ANY gets in there is actually quite effective, but studies differ on whether/how much sperm are actually in pre ejaculation.

can be effective and Im sure it is, as I've personally relied on it for almost a yr with nothing happening..but pregnancies do happen.

from: http://www.cyh.com/HealthTopics/HealthTopicDetails.aspx?p=240&np=299&id=2072

"This is not safe. Pregnancies often occur when withdrawal methods are tried.

    * The penis produces some fluid ('pre-***') after it becomes erect and before ejaculation. Often there is sperm in the pre-*** and this can cause pregnancy.
    * Also, this method relies on the man judging when he is going to ejaculate, and it is quite common for a man to ejaculate before he withdraws his penis."

I am here to tell you all that pre-ejaculate IS an issue. I have 2 children and 2 on the way to vouch for that!!!!
