Post Breastfeeding and Return of Menstrual Cycle

Hi girls.  I haven't been on awhile....school and work have got me tied down...too bad its not my husband that has me tied down, hehe...but we have no time for that...jk.  anyway, i have been finished breastfeeding since christmas and not by choice...my milk just diminished....but I have not had a period yet.  I am getting worried because we want to try for #2 and we can't until i get this period back to track bbt.  Any suggestions or know of what could be wrong??  I see my gyn on the 15th for my yearly but until then I would like to hear some similar stories.  Thanks girls.

Um, Are you having any "symptoms"?  Bc as soon as your baby is not exclusively breastfeeding you can be ovulating and get pregnant before your AF shows up!  Not to get you excited, but if your milk supply went down, that can also be from ovulation or pregnancy.  God Bless you, let us know what you find out.

i wished i was pregnant and my dh prayed we werent yet, haha.  But two weeks ago I had knee surgery and they tested before I went under.  Of course it was negative.  Stupid hormones.. I just wanta get back on track.  Oh, and I have a yeast infection.  The last time I got one of those is when I miscarried.  I am getting nervous.

I have gotten a yi when pregnant 5 out of the 6 times!

I also get a yeast infection as soon as I get pregnant. I still havenot had AF and I had my DD 22 weeks ago.

girls you are scaring me....i had knee surgery and was put out....isn't that very bad if i were indeed prego??? and i am using some monostat stuff....should i test again??  Wouldnt the hospital have been accurate?

I went in to have tubal ligation and they did a super sensitive blood test before, ONLY bc there was some discrepency as to when I O'd.  It was negative, but the dr wouldnt do the surgery bc he said there is a window there where the fertilized egg is traveling and implanting and not yet prducing enough hormone to show up.  Now Im glad he stopped it, (I believe God stopped it), but I would not have had such a sensitive test if there wasnt a question.  And my dr is also super careful about not interrupting healthy pregnancy.  I dont think a knee surgeon would be THAT careful.  Careful, but not that careful.  I would just wait another week or two, test again, and if nothing consult your OB/GYN.

thanks i will be going to the obgyn on the 15th like i said...i just didnt wanta do something wrong like keep using monistat or drinking a glass of wine if my chances are high for prego...but i dont think that is it...actually i am scared that i am just not ovulating and we want to have another baby.

Hi. My af just came yesterday. I am breastfeeding and I had my ds 21 weeks ago. You should try to watch for symptons b/c mine caught me offguard. I was not expecting it. But thinking back to the week before I did have symptoms.

When did you  have your baby?  I had my dd Sept. 28 and 16 weeks post partum got af.  I just wanted to see how old  your baby was before trying for #2.  I'm no spring chicken and don 't want to wait too long. I also had a c-secion though ;)

Okay, Just saw another post and you had a 5 month old. I think you me mommy2be & decogrl all had our babies just about the same time. We should all share pic's :)
