Post C-Section Swelling

Post C-Section Swelling

I had a c-section 6 weeks ago and my incision (horizontal) is healing fine.  However, about two inches above the incision is a raised line that looks like another incision that was stitched up and I can see it through my skin.  It also kind of stings.  I know the Dr. said he would not only stitch the uterus and the outside, but also put some stitches in the fat layer between.  Is this normal that I can see this line?  It is also the same length and same placement as the incision, just that is above the actual incision.

Also the line is soft, not hard like I hear people say about scar tissue.

I think you need to call your doctor's office about this.  It sounds like you have some extenuating circumstances with stitching not only the uterus and  skin,  but a layer in between.  Kind of unique circumstances for each patient in that case.

Best wishes.
