Post HELLP Question

IS THERE ANY POST HELLP SYNDROME SYMPTONS YEARS DOWN THE ROAD AFTER HAVING HELLP?

I have always wondered the same thing.  I have some health issues now and have often thought maybe it was due to that.  Im only 33 and also now in perimenopause.  May not be related but I have to wonder!  Also have frequent pain in my lower back (kidneys) and some issues with my blood pressure.  Since I had my son in 2000 my BP has been borderline high and previous was always ok.

Women who have had HELLP syndrome are thought to be at higher risk for hypertension in the future.

I don't know of any other problems that might occur down the road after recovery.  It only makes sense that there *could* be some liver problems or kidney problems, but I don't know for a fact that there would be any cautions about them.

HELLP syndrome does primarily target the liver and kidneys during pregnancy.  I don't think it would cause premature menopause.
