Post Pregnancy Period

I am 5 months post partum and quit breastfeeding 5 weeks ago.  I still haven't got my period yet.  When should I expect it and should I notify my Dr.?  I am positive I'm not pregnant.  I would like to conceive shortly however.

I got mine 6 months after I delivered. I was still breastfeeding at the time. Everyone is different though. In the mean time, enjoy it!

My sister didn't get hers until 9 mos postpartum.  I'm only 9 weeks post partum and I hope I don't get it soon.  I want a break from the pads :)

my dd is just 5 months i got my first about 9 weeks post partum and i am still breastfeeding exclusivly now i think ive only had the 2 though its still a little irregular however after my first was born i fell pregnant when my first  was 6 weeks old i hadent had a period at all i was also breastfeeding and on the mini pill hence now my 2 daughters less then a year apart in age i have a 5 month old and a 16month old dd i think you should wait on that second one for a bit longer spend some more alone time with your first this was a big regret of mine i felt so bad for my eldest bringing home a baby when dd was only 11 months old new babies take up a lot of time but toddlars take up even more of your time goodluck to you in what ever you decide i guess i am trying to say anything is possible.
