I had post delivery swelling and ended up being hospitalized for HELLP syndrome. Do you have any other symptoms? Have you had your blood pressure taken?

After I had my 1st son, I had excessive swelling, it was so bad I couldnt put my shoes on. I tryed to just take it easy but that doesnt work when you end up back at the hospital 2day after getting out for my son and had to stay another 2.5days. It took about 1.5w for the swelling to go all the way down.....I have no idea what cause it.....

I had lots of swelling post c-section.  I was not given a reason but they told me that as long as your right side is as swollen as your left side you shold be OK and it happens.  My swelling went away after about 2 weeks.

Were you induced? Pitocin can cause swelling. I was very swollen when I was pregnant with my twins and it got worse after pregnancy. Drink as much water as you can to help flush it out of your system. It took about a month for my legs and feet to go down. Do not take water pills as they will just make it worse.

If it is one leg and not the other then it could possibly be a blood clot my friend had one and had to have scans and wear a pressure bandage for 12 weeks just to make sure there was no more and the swelling took ages to go down. Good Luck if it is still a problem or you are concerned go see the doc.
