I gave birth to my daughter almost 5 weeks ago. I had my post deliveryC-section Delivery presentations Infant care following delivery bleeding for about 2 weeks and then it stopped for 2 weeks but now I am bleeding again. I assumed I started my period but it is heavier than any periods I had before pregnancy and has also lasted longer. Before pregnancy my periods were light and only lasted maybe 3 days and I have now been bleeding more heavily for 5 days. Should I be concerned?
I wouldn't be too concerned for now. You have just had a beautiful baby and your body needs time to recover. It could be a while before it gets back to "normalNormal saline flush". I also have light periods that don't last for long and i never had any pain with them either until i had my 2nd child. ever since then my periods can be quite painfulPainful menstrual periods at the start. as the months pass you may find your periods start to go back to more how they were. or they may not. only time will tell i am afraid. but if you are really worried call your doctor anyway x
Congrats on addition to your family!
