Postpartum menstrual cycle 5 weeks

I have a 5 week old son, and I am bleeding vaginally, so I think I just started my period again. This is my first child. I had a cesearean and am breastfeeding. Is it possible it is my period, or can something be wrong?

As long as you aren't soaking a pad in an hour everything should be fine. I am also breastfeeding and I'm 4 weeks 2 days postpartum and bleeding, this is what they told me when I called. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I am just worried, and I wasnt sure if it was a cause for concern. I had been going to the doctor twice a week in the beginning of the month with a post partum infection. Any new problems before my 6 week appointment make me nervous.
