Just wondering if any of the rest of you are documenting everything in a pregnancy journal? I am, I have even saved the e-mails my DH wrote to his buddies telling them of the bun in the oven. :) I figure maybe someday the young un' would get a kick out of knowing how loved he/she was from the moment we found out about him/her.
Also how soon can they determine the sex of the baby on ultrasound?

I have heard a lot about the 4d U/S. Does it show baby in great detail I take it???

I am getting the 4D U/S in 20 days :-) I think the 4th D is time and motion?  You can see the baby move in greater detail.  I was wondering too!

Hello ladies!  Well I had my IUI done on 5/29 and AF showed her ugly face today. My question is, when should your temp drop?  I've been BBT and for about 5 days my temp was 98.4, yesterday it went down to 98.0 and today it was back up to 98.2.

Also, I was wondering how many woman on this site have gotten pregnant soon after saying that "you weren't going to try anymore"?  My dh and I have been trying for over 1-1/2 years. And this IUI didn't work for us this month, I was thinking about just seeing if it will happen naturally for us. My problem is that I wasn't ovulating, so I'm on clomid to help.  So I don't know if we just "give up" if it would happen for us or not.

Any in-sight would be wonderful!

I would love to do a pg journal or something like that. Unfortunately, bc of a mc I am too afraid to start. I dont want to get my hopes up just yet. I absolutely love that kind of stuff though. :o)

My temp dropped 1-2 days after AF arrived. I was also on Clomid due to really looooonnnnng cycles.I really think havng an HSG is what got me my BFP, that and 100mg Clomid. But the month we did get preggers was also the month the DH and I were in bed for a week with bronchitis. I was not even thinking about ttc yet we were bored and had a lot of nookie and bam I got pregant.

Kelly, you can serach for sample 4D images online, VERY COOL!  My doc offers to all patients automatically!

I wish i had time for a journal!!!!  We started a scrap book for grand ma though!!  Its been fun picking out the lil things to go on the pages.  We are having the 4D ultrasound next week.  I am  a lil nervous.  I really wanted to wait til he came out to see what he looked like but my mil got it for a mother's day gift.

im not sure about the bbt thing.  although i have noticed a fluctuation in mine too, but i dont take it religiously every day.  i know alchohol can affect it (drinking the pm before) and you should have 3 hours of good sleep at least and take it the same time.  which i have had all 3 of those problems, so im never sure how reliable it is.  as far as the "stopped trying" ive always wondered how people get to that point.  if its something you really want how can you just stop thinking about it all of the time.  but sooooo manypeople have told me that story.  "once we stopped trying so hard it just happened"  it kinda bugs me :)

oh, how high/low does your temp usu go.  average after you o, and average after af.  im usu low 96's with af, the high 96's or 97's after i o.

I never kept a journal with my son when i was pregnant w/him and i found out at 20 weeks that i was having a boy. then again i was still in high school when i found out i was pregnant with him
and the new u/s they do are neat my boss gets tehm done and he showed us some of the pics they did and they were really detailed and if im pregnant again i hope my dr will do them u/s i thought they were really great

nevermind about the 4D ultrasound.  my dr just called back and its not recommended.  and they said that the fda will be coming out w/ that recommendation as well.  I am kinda relieved.

My temps are usually low 97's while AF and then a few days after. They they go up to 98's after ovulation and stay there until AF. I was just confused this month because it dropped yesterday but went back up today. I try to take it the same time every day.  There are some days that I forget to do it, but I am getting better at it!  
I know what you mean about not thinking about getting pregnant all of the time.  I've honestly tried not to think about it, but it's all I ever seem to do!  When you want to be pregnant, you can't help but think about it.  I think I might talk with dh and see what he thinks.

4D Ultrasound Risks
4D Ultrasound uses sound waves to look inside the body, just like conventional ultrasound technology. A probe placed on the body emits sound waves into the body, listens for the return echo and generates an image. Scientific studies have not shown any potential dangers from ultrasound exams. However, a 4D exam should be a prescribed procedure conducted by a trained medical professional.

I already have a lot of bloating so I have a pooch too but it is not baby pooch yet. I do not have the ability to get the pics posted. DH and I do not have the neat gadgets to do digital pictures but we are looking into it now that we are preggers. Wonder if we should also get a camcorder???? Gotta get those cherished moments on film. Esp when baby pukes on DH head. :)

It's worth while to invest in a digital camera!  I love being able to send pictures to friends and families right away without waiting on the developing process.  Please take some belly shots when you get one!  You can do it biweekly to see you much you grow!
Don't give up on the 4D yet, I will ask my doctor when I get mine done and see what she has to say.  I will let you know!  
I am definately pooching out, I think I have gained 7 to 8 lbs so far, and the doc said I am right on target.  I don't think I look preggo in other people's eyes, I am just kind of chubby in the mid-section, haha, see it for yourself on Yahoo!

I've not done too much in the way of journals either, I guess after my m/c last year I just get too nervous too. I have taken some pictures of my profile on our digital camera. Dh takes my pic every 2 weeks, I think we started at 16 weeks though. My initial thought was that I would go ahead and take the pics because if something happened(God forbid) the wonderful thing about digital cameras is that you can just delete it. I'm 20 weeks now and doing fine, so I'm a lot more comfortable. We also have our u/s pictures too (6 weeks, jsut a peanut;  and 20 weeks, so amazing.) I will probably do more as our preg progresses though, maybe I'll journal the last couple of months. I live a few thousand miles away from my family right now so I'm sure grandma will enjoy to see anything that we document too.

this place was called womb w/ a view...no drs there...another reason my dr is suggesting against it.  If its done by a dr and its for a medical purpose the FDA is saying its ok.  But long term effects are still not known on babies.  I am not saying its "not" ok and I dont think the drs are either...I think they are saying they dont know.  And I would rather not have it done.  Because I am high risk and they found a spot on our babies heart we have had 3 ultrasouns already.  Thats enough for me.

The only thing I have been doing is the baby book.  No journeling for me.  I think it is a great idea.  I found out the sex of my baby at 17 1/2 weeks.  They told me 85% sure it was a girl...did follow up u/s at 20 weeks and told me 100% it was a girl.  I believe 20 weeks is the correct time to tell.  I just got a 4d ultrasound they are amazing and are really reassuring.  Won't have to change that pink room now.

That's a great idea, I wanted to do it but there's no way I'd have the time to since we just bought a house and in the process of selling our home.  I think I was kind of holding back early on since the M/C in Jan.
20 weeks is the norm to find out the sex but I think you can at 17 weeks as well.  If you get genetic testing which I turned down BTW, you can find out sooner.

I saved all those great emails also. I put them in a scrapbook I made for my DD. It is so fun to go back & look at all that fun stuff. I also have a baby box that has the hat she wore at the hosp. ( they give out beautiful hand knit ones) & letters my husband wrote to DD & me after she was born. She even has a pair of beautiful grey pearl earrings my DH had made with the pearls she picked at disney. Her middle name is Pearl so it is fitting. I hope one day she will look at everything & realize what we went through to get her here & how Loved she is!

So sorry to hear your IUI didn't work I had mine done on 5/29 ( which also happened to be our 7th wedding anniversay) so I still have to wait a few days to do a HPT. Are you going to try again?

I hope you have better luck than I did this month!  I think we probably will try it again, it's just so heartbreaking every month when AF shows and the dr's can't really pin point a reason why we aren't getting pregnant. All of the tests come back saying that everything looks good.  Maybe we'll do the IUI (I think the dr said that he would only do it 3 months) and go from there. Please keep me posted on your outcome. I hope you get your BFP this month!

sorry to interrupt here, but i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.  has any of you ladies ever had implantation bleeding and an implantation dip in their temps.  but after a sudden peak (highest temp of cycle) it dropped for one day, and still ended up pregnant.  sorry if this question jumps around.

Okay, I have a question, (I am sorry is this is TMI)I am just about 7 weeks pregnant and it seems as though I am sweating alot more in my vaginal area. This could have something to do with the fact that I live in Arizona where is it currently 112 degrees. Has anyone else experienced this? Once again, sorry for the TMI...

I def agree with you on this one. I always feel like it is sweaty down there. I think alot has to do with the increase in CM wetting my underwear leaving a constant wet/sweaty feeling. Ahhhh, the joys of pregnancy. :)
