Pregnancy after Tubal

I had my tubes tied four yrs. ago after the birth of my son they had me sign a waiver stateing that they would not be held responsible if I got pregnant again pretty standard but they only gave me a five yr guareetee on the tubal. I only got them clipped and tied my question is what chance do I have on getting pregnant if they only gave me five yr. guareentee. My husband does want another child but if there is a chance that I could get preg. without paying for reversal then we'd rather doit like that.

The chances of conceiving after a tubal are still very, very slim.  The reason they have you sign a document like that, is because the failure rate (depending on the skill of the operator, the procedure done) is anywhere from 1 in 150 to 1 in 500.
Some people think having their tubes tied has a zero failure rate, so they have you sign just so you are aware that there is a failure rate.  

Even after 5 years, the failure rate is still somewhere in the rates I quoted to you.  

So not enough to rely on if you do want to get preggers.  You would need a reversal to have much chance.

Even though you get your tubes tied, there are chances of pregnacy. My grandmother, got her tubes tied and 2 years later she got pregnant with triplets. Thinking that my mother was handing me a bag, she was very much against my recieving a tubal after my 3rd child, I didn't believe her.
I did get the tubal, and I have been pregnat twice since. One tubal pregnacy and one viable that I unfortunately lost.  The doctor has gone back in and actually remove a lenghth of my tube that is not normally done.  So those who say it is fool proof is just that...a fool.
