Pregnancy after Vasectomy??

by LIZ1971, Aug 17, 2004 12:00AM
Hi Everyone!

I'm a healthy 33 year old female from Toronto.  My husband had a vasectomy 10 years ago during his first marriage so needless to say we don't use birth control.  However, my period which has NEVER been late is now almost 3 weeks overdue (I personally think it's because I'm leaving for vacation this weekend and it wants to go along!)  Does anyone know the chances of my actually being pregnant?  I would be THRILLED not so sure how hubby would react though.

Thanks so much

Liz

Hey,
My advice would be just to take a test.
Of course there IS a chance. Vasectomy is no more 100% than anything else.
Best of luck to you, and let us know!!!!

allthough unlikely, not impossible. have you tested?
if not you probably should. missing your period could be other things, if you test and get a negative i would follow up with your doctor.

If you are a very regular person, I would suggest taking a test.

Well I would defiantely test and hopefully you get what you want.

Definitly take a test. My granfather is a urologist and has told me that it does happen occasionally if a man has a high sperm count. although it usually happens closer following surgery.
