Pregnancy or birth control side effects?

by Bossy69, Jul 03, 2007 12:00AM
I started the pill about three weeks ago, before then me and my boyfriend had used the "pull out method". I got my period and started the pill a few days after it ended. I have been on the pill before but I had never had any side effects and it was the same pill, I also haven't been on the pill for over a year. for about a week and a half I have been feeling nauseaus but not only in the morning, I have had a light pink spotting, my breats are really tender and always sore, I have been having cramps, stomach bloating, endless appetite, upset stomach and I was wondering if maybe I am pregnant. I looked up side effects from the pill and they are pretty close to pregnancy signs so I have no idea if I am. I shouldn't get my period for another couple of weeks. I stopped taking the pill yesturday so that if it was the pill I would know, please help!

There is a small chance that you may be pregnant I don't think with your period not being due for a couple of weeks that you are. I strongly recommend that you use a back up method, now that you have stopped the pill. I would call the clinic and schedule an appointment just to make sure. However, it is not uncommon for the pill to all of a sudden start in with side effects especially if you are anxious. Good Luck.

What are the possible short and long term side effect for a child who received birth control for the first trimester that his or her mother was pregnant with them?
