Have you taken a hpt since Nov 9? I too was on the pill for 8 years and i got pg 2 weeks after going off. I tested 4 days after missed period and got a positive. Nov 9 may have been too soon. If you have not tested again since then, then maybe you should. Otherwise, i really dont know what to tell you but good luck and baby dust your way!!
We tested this morning and go a faint positive. DH is con vinced we are pregnant but I don't want to get all excited and then not be. Will a blood test tell me for sure? do they normally do them? Doctors that is?
I had been on the pill for 6 years straight got off and had my periods right on time for the next 4 months started trying and the same as you got a really faint positive. So I tested one more time and again got the same result. I tested 2 days after I was due to start because I just knew I was I was always on time. I went to the clinic and had blood drawn not urine and it was positive. I have had three miscarriages due to low HCG levels and low HCG levels would cause it to be hard to find in urine....Just a thought...will they give you a blood test??? Good luck!
Yes, a blood test will tell the truth. Fait +'s are usually + though. The doc's test should be as accurate as the hpt's you buy in the drug stores. I relied on first response because they are 4 day early tests. Hold your urine for at least 4 hours before you test, not drinking too much fluid. Good luck!
Not everyone will have a clear, dark positive result. I am pregnant with my third. My first, the home-test was negative, but I continued to be late, so I went to the doctor, and it was negative for 3 more weeks, until FINALLY, it was positive. By then, I was 5 weeks pregnant. That was 11 years ago. Last Feb, I knew again I was pregnant, and took the first response test, that is supposed to let you know 3 days earlier, and it was negative. A week later, I took it again, and it was positive, but so faintly, that you had to turn on all the lights and stare at it to see the pink line. I did it the first urine upon waking up, and waited 20 minutes. I am 39 1/2 weeks pregnant now. So, don't give up, and ANY faint line IS a positive.
Niki,
I recently had my second miscarriage. Both at 7 weeks and both times I had very low HCG levels. I am meeting with my dr in 2 weeks to discuss our next plan for getting pregnant. Is your dr doing anything special for you? Have you been referred to a miscarriage specialist? I'm just interested in hearing your story if you don't mind sharing.
Winston2,
I had a very faint positive test too. I knew I was pregnant by the breast tenderness. I'd get a blood test to reassure yourself. Good luck.
I too had a faint line. I swear, I took like 6 tests because I was afraid that maybe I did them wrong or something and didn't want to get my hopes up. I've always heard that a pos is a pos no matter how faint, so good luck to you!
hey winston im hoping that you post soon ive been checking everyday. i have my fingers crossed for you good luck ill be peeing on that little stick on the 29th or 30th.
