Pregnant Imediately Following Miscarriage?

Pregnant Imediately Following Miscarriage?

Hi all!
I am a little confused right now as I look at my bodily signs and am hoping to get some input!
I miscarried my first baby at approx 6 weeks, 2 1/2 weeks ago. I had not been in to a doctor yet, and as it appeared that I had completed the miscarriage on my own I never did go in. I bled for 6 days, during which time we were very careful to avoid possibly infectious activity. My husband and I planned on waiting for me to complete a full month cycle before we tried to conceive again so I began casually charting temperature and cervical position again, watching for signs of approaching ovulation so we could abstain during the fertile time. But I was caught totally off guard one morning when I found my cervical position sky high a mere 10 days after the miscarriage. Only 4-5 days later my temp spiked back to pregnancy highs... could I be pregnant again this quickly? It took us five months to conceive before! I don't know when to expect my next period to start, so I don't even know when I could take a test... And if I am pregnant, what can I expect? Is it dangerous to get pregnant this quickly after a miscarriage?
Any tips from someone who knows something would be so welcome!
Thanks,
Jessica <
