Oh I forgot something. While on the pill I expereinced heavier longer periods with cramping. I found this odd as it was never my expereince before. Maybe this pill just wasn't for me.
Getting pregnant while on the pill is certainly possible, and should NOT harm your baby. Have you stopped taking the pills until you can talk to your doctor?
no kidding! I remember you =) there's not too many people that I remember on here anymore! Keep us posted on what happens! I've never done well on ANY bc pill, so I'm not much help with my "experiences" but I wish you the absolute best and hope you get everythign you want this year! =) HUGS! Kellie
I have a friend who got pregnant while taking the pill, and my sister-in-law also got pregnant while taking the pill. Both babies are healthy and perfect! I got pregant the first month off of the pill. When I questioned my doctor if that was OK, he said that in his experiences (not by research) babies conceived on the pill or immediately off the pill are the healthiest! Why, I don't know, it was just his opinion.
So you kept feeling like you ovulated until now? You are certainly unique!
I found this quote for you:
"Pill failures are exceptionally rare, so much so, that most physicians and other prescribers never experience it in a patient during their entire careers. However, pill failures do occur, and when they do, it is because they have failed to prevent ovulation. The "chemicals" in oral contraceptives are actually small doses of hormones with which your body is very familiar, so the likelihood of damaging a fetus before you were to know of a pregnancy is pretty slim". -- (June 18, 2003)
