Premature baby

My first baby was 2 months premature , no specific reason why he was premature, now I am pregnant again ,what are my chances to have a full term baby. Did anyone had  premature baby first and then full term baby?

I went into PTL at 26 weeks with my oldest, but thanks to a lot of help I was able to carry to term. The good news is I had no issues with my second trying to come early. Make sure your doc keeps a close eye on things and you should be fine.

Because your first baby was premature they will keep a much closer eye on you this time around, also you will be able to recognise the signs and get medical help if it starts again, there is quite a high percentage of women who go into prem labour but if caught in time there are lots of treatments they can give you to stop it.
I have a friend who's first baby was six weeks prem and her second baby was almost two weeks overdue!!

You are not at any higher risk of preterm labor with the second baby. I started contracting at 24 weeks with my DD & was put on strict bedrest & had to take a pill every 4 hours to stop contractions. Now I am 9 weeks & was worried B/C my DD is 3 & I can't go on bedrest with her running amuck in our house!!!

i know how you feel.  all 3 of mine were early. first was 33 weeks, 37 for #2, 38 for 3.  they told me that i would always have little babies and it was because of how small i was and how my uterus sits.  if your uterus tips back you will have early babies.  dont be scared though.  my first was only 4lbs.  she died twice in the first 3 days and i could not bring her home for 10 days after that.  but now she is 4 and 40 lbs.  my second was 6lbs and no comps.  my 3rd was 5 lbs and is now 5 weeks old and almost 7 lbs.  you just have to watch the signs.  good luck.
