Prenatal Vitamins and DHA

I have been taking prenatal vitamins for months prior to us trying to conceive.  What are your thoughts on taking Expecta Lipil or another Omega-3/ DHA vitamin as well as the prenatal vitamin?

My first pregnancy did not go as planned and I want to ensure that I am getting max nutritional content that is needed.

You need to make sure you talk to your doctor about any supplementation. The concern will always lie with taking too much of any one or multiple vitamins or supplements.

when i was pregnant, in addition to my pre-natal vitamins, i also took an Omega-3 (fish oil) supplement. i heard it was a good thing to do, but i did check it with my dr. first. i guess they took a look at my bloodwork and since there were no levels too high or too low that concerned them, they told me it was ok to go ahead and take a generic pre-natal vitamin as well as the omega-3.
