Progesterone - after Chlomed, HCG and IUI

by bunpup, Apr 25, 2005 12:00AM
This is my 2nd month on Chlomed and HCG injections.  This month I showed 2 mature eggs on the ultrasound, had HCG shot(4/16) to induce ovulation then had IUI done 1 week ago on 4/18.  My progesterone level came back at 8.2 level at only 4-days after the IUI on 4/22.  Doctor put me on natural progesterone supp 100mg 2xDay.  My temp shot up next day by another .5 degrees. (Last month I had ovulated with a progesterone level of 10.5 at 7-days post ovulation (no IUI done) - doctor said I ovulated based on the 10.5 level).

My questions are:
With an 8.2 progesterone level could I have ovulated this month or should it have been higher?  Could the test have been done too soon (only 4 DPO)?  Is this a bad sign?

Also, what are my chances of conceiving with all of the measures we are taking?  This is our 8th month of trying, but 2nd month on all the interventions.  (i'm 31 years old)
Thank you!

Hi-I am sorry I don't have an answer to your question- but those really seem like thing that your doctor should be able to answer. Good luck!
